All good intentions, but how do you plan on achieving that?

And question for Narrylegend: is there any reason to focus on MVP/HOF players for the U21?

gpolin, last trophy in s64 was under your direction... you're telling us you shot yourself in the foot there?!

Between you and gpolin, we're in for a pretty interesting election, you both have impressive U21 resumes

Thanks for the question Fwinns.
What I noticed following team Canada is the great skill the team has.
Team Canada is behind their skill only with a missed opportunities to beat Americas teams and missed preparations for a better point differential against tougher appointments.
Discussing with Canadian managers, seems to be an opportunity to continue working together to identify young prospects and mold them for becoming NT caliber. It is not always easy to manage successful U21 and transform all these skilled players into NT caliber.
Needless, U21 is in great shape, and we need to increase communication with active managers to develop young prospects for U21 purposes, and young ones for NT purposes (some might take more time). We need to have a Team Canada with an average age for the starting 5 maintained at 28-29 yo. It is hard to compete with starters on their downside.
Hence, to get Canada to a more respectable ranking, we must:
- Be active
- Following up with managers
- Be strategically be ready every matchup to increase Ws and better point diff.,
- Work together with U21 NT to identify coming up players and mold them for future needs.
Looking forward to assist Canada in the process to competitive ranks!

Sorry I'm late to the party folks. It appears we have a couple of quality managers in this race, however I still believe my approach and strategy will not only benefit the U21 Team, but it will trickle into the National Team as well.

Additionally, I realize I have not had any success training for the Canadian U21 team and that's partly due to poor drafting luck and settling for micro nations as it's a lot easier to get a U21 quality player when there are just less of them. However, back in the day when I used to play, I did draft and create a decent quality U21 Canadian player, who went on to the NT for several years. I would be remiss not to mention that (31706671). All that being said, whether I am elected or not, my goal is to train a couple of Canadian trainees that I've purchased and see if they can become quality players and hopefully make the U21 team.

I'd love to answer any questions you might have.

Not to be blunt, but that's very generic and I would say at the very least the minimum requirement to be considered for a U21 position.
U21 as a step to NT is not a bad idea in itself and it's better than nothing, but training a player to peak at 29 is not the same as training one to peak at 21.
Would you dismiss someone wanting to train a superstar player because he has no chance of making it to the NT, even though he could potentially be the best U21 player of its generation?
