Maybe.

But then tanking for draft picks doesn't always seem to be the main aim of a tank (maybe to cross your fingers and hope for a hall of fame or all-time great potential guy to sell for the money or laserfocus training on to taste), just saving money and stacking cash for a few seasons for a big push later when they will be running at a loss due to very high salaries seems more common.

And for that staying in div II rather than being relegated is probably more annoying than rewarding as the salary floor is then 250k/week or so instead of 75k-ish which is the floor in division III (or was when I was in it in season 66) so these teams are saving money much slower.

Also no guarantee that you get moved to weaker conferences tanking either. A tanking/rebuilding team seems more likely to be moved to previously strong conferences to balance divisions out. Your conference is a good example of that actually. Santa Booker & Comino Chameleons (both trending up over time) out, Asociatia Firenze-Chisinau and Yerevan (both seemingly in rebuilds) in.

Heh.

Well since you asked nicely there is one thing that I can do for an ESL team because the info was already there amongst the full list I did at the end of last season which is this:

End of last season average player ratings for this season's ESL line-up would be:

15.4 - Smoki Wawelskie
14.0 - C.B. Nans
13.9 - BC Dondel
13.7 - Wazowski Harley Riders
13.5 - KamiQazers Team
13.5 - Gibuskus
13.0 - Team Scooby
12.9 - The Mighty Pheasants
12.3 - Fimbles
12.3 - Illyrians
12.1 - KB Peja
12.0 - BC Böðvar <- YOU ARE HERE
11.9 - Stómas
11.0 - Dacia Chisinau BC
10.5 - Albanian Lions
08.9 - Valletta

Which looks not great until you remember that Stómas who you are already 0.1 rating better at the end of last season went 20-2 for the best seasonal record then won the playoffs at that 11.9 using a different offensive strategy for each of the 4 playoff games!

Welcome to season 69!

For any passing new managers who didn't already know I believe Game Rating is calculated by BuzzerManager by how many sub-levels above atrocious-low the combination of outside scoring, inside scoring, outside defense, inside defense, rebounding and offensive flow are at the end of the game.

Average player ratings are a bit wonky the 1st game or two as BuzzerManager seems to average each player to the nearest half-point, while BuzzerBeater itself knows the rating to a tenth of a point so there can be discrepancies. BuzzerManager is near enough however to compare like for like stats for the week and against previous seasons and leaves the need for Excel sheets and so on at the workplace where they belong!

Efficiency when that is mentioned is (Points+Rebounds+Assists+Steals+Blocks−Missed shots−Missed Free Throws-Turnovers).

Just like last season 8 teams with 100+ game rating in game 1 and 8 teams with 10+ average player rating.

Bonus stat I intend to keep up from today is the running total of the Game Ratings including average per game. 1st number is the game ratings added together, 2nd is the average per game. Italics for Big 8 conference teams, Bold for Great 8 conference teams. Any errors, let me know.

Personal note, three and a bit seasons and yet to have a triple-double, and thanks to entering garbage-time up by 36 I still haven't! No minutes in the 4th quarter for Shaun MacNuir (21 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists), and more annoyingly none for William Buchan who was trying to get a triple-double the hard way and was left stranded on 15 points, 14 rebounds, and 9 blocks! You don't see a 9 block performance every day. In fact, division II.2 season 67 had ONE 7 block game, and season 68 only had 3. The last 8 or more block game in the division therefore is at least 3 seasons ago.

Game 3 Game Ratings :-

134 - 13.5 - Skytturnar
133 - 12.8 - Glasgow Blue Jays
128 - 12.2 - Chicago Bulbs II

124 - 12.8 - Glasgow Raptors
121 - 12.0 - Celestia BC
116 - 11.5 - Locomotive Edinburgh
110 - 10.9 - Dropito
108 - 11.5 - Santa Booker
106 - 11.4 - Revolta Culé, B.C
104 - 10.5 - Raging Seagull
092 - 09.4 - Bezerkers Ball Club
088 - 09.4 - Bibby Brotherhood
085 - 07.9 - Apex Legends

068 - 07.6 - Pic Pedrosa
065 - 06.2 - Rocalux
056 - 06.0 - Comandaranga

Running Totals of Game Rating this season:

It was a scrimmage rather than league game but this game between us last year was pretty cool.

https://buzzerbeater.com/match/135170041/boxscore.aspx

My Guy Luque was one assist away from a triple double with 12 rebounds and 10 blocks.

Largely as it was a scrimmage I hadn't actually noticed he got 10 of the 11 total team blocks!

I guess being likely a top 5 blocker and a top 5 rebounder in the division makes Luque the likely favourite to do a triple-double arguably the hardest way (assists, rebounds, blocks) if he continues to pass instead of shoot and if anyone ever can.
