No one really knows. Most players in the game right now have less than average experience because the game is only in its sixth season and experience increases so slowly. My personal guess is that it affects the game quite a bit. An experienced center, for example, seems to pass the ball rather than take those annoying three pointers that they never hit.

Experience appears to be something that is more innate, than gained. I've had rookies with mediocre experience, and veterans with pitiful experience.
