the players that regressed, how old are they? Could there be sub-levels to game shape?
As for the player that increased their DMI, maybe it's the same thing and there are sublevels to game shape, or else maybe there is 'osmosis training' just like in hattrick, where a guy sitting on the bench will still get some training even though he didn't play.
Just a couple of theories that are probably all wrong :)
