I am under the impression from what I have read that offensive flow has much to do with passing and handling skills. If you have great passers and handlers you will get great flow, but if your shooting is bad, it will become low FGP and assists. You get a great OF with some better shooters, it should help the assists.

To relate to HT, its like having great playmaking, and bad scorers.

There are two elements to scoring an assist, the pass, and the shot. With good flow you got the pass part, but with low FG% your passees just arent getting the shot in the bucket.

Hi,

My players are amazing passers...
The PG - 14
SG - 10
The SF in the last match (my second PG usually) was 12 and I usually play with an SF with 7 at passing.
handling skills are pretty similar to the passing skills.
My inside players are 5 and 6 BTW but this as I understand has very minor or no effect on the offensive flow rating (but of course adds more assists in the game).

So,
I believe my offensive flow is high because of both - passing and handling but still only the rating is high but when it comes to the real game - it sucks...

about my shooters - I believe their pretty good, as seen from the team ratings.
E.g. my PG is 12-9, SG 14-9 from the outside but yet, I can't get them to shot with decent FGP even against average-strong defenders. (The good FGP of my SG in the last match was an exception - his season average is pretty bad)

As I said earlier, I feel like this only makes me lose less possessions. My FGP is not improved by the better passing skills since teams with much worse passers get the same or even better FGP with similar or worse shooters.

Thanks,
But if I'd played run and gun I would immediately make everyone defend 3-2 against me and last season it caused me some losses.
Any way, my thread is more about how to make my team score better, having great passers. Do you think faster tactics would make better shots? I've started playing base offense after failing to play push the ball for example.

I didn´t see your games so I´ll just give my opinion teorically. I think every team should have an attack strategy based where it is stronger. If you look good at outside shooting you should have your wingmen with the most shoots.
Answering directly to your question, I think that how long it takes to a certain shoot, more pressure you have because the clock is running against, so the player could miss much more times (in real basket this doesn´t happen - the coaches want teams to shoot not very fast). That´s the essence of BB.Here you should have attacks with faster pace and also you have less chances of turnovers. And TO make all the difference when teams are very levelled in a game.

So what you're saying is that slower tactics are still practically useless, although the BBs published they've changed the game engine in favor of this tactics a bit.
As I understood from what you said, no one can use them because it would lead to shot clock pressured shots which eliminates the affect of being a more controlled shots.
I can only say that from my experience this season and previous seasons, I hardly see the difference the BBs were talking about.

hmmm. would like to know how you meassure this "difference". The 7th season is only half way and the old system has been used for several seasons. So first off all what games did you compare and also what are the exact stats/skills/things you looked at/compared?

We do not have a lot of information, but that can be a reasonable explanation.

This was, of course my own observation from based on the games played so far this season.
Using a slower tactic, with my passers and handler didn't cause any improvement to my FGP and still, my team gets the same amount of assists, which compared to other teams in my league is very low, even teams with a much worse offensive flow.
