I've tried www2 domain but it's not much better. Do you known how many parrallel connections are allowed on the server ? I don't want to be too aggressive on it.

I'm not saying it's slower, as it is the first time I use the BBAPI, I'm just saying that for a mass retrieving of info, it's very slow. Hope you don't misunderstand me.

I dont try it actually but I also made some test for get a lot of information in short times - I get more than 1000 teams and there players in a time of less than 3 minutes maybe it was only a minute but really really fast..
so the most important for that is your server and your internet connection, then there should be not a problem.. thats my experience

Which language do you use for that ?
Can you share your code ?
I'm use PHP with socket connection and I really far from this performance :\

I believe the maximum of concurrent connections depends on the maximum of users who can use the BBAPI in the same time, so the question is how many user can use the BBAPI in the same time but that should be a number in the thousands.

I have fake multi-threading in the PHP on BB-Stats now that seems to have no limit on how many connections can be run.
