It's just the number of positions (regardless of how many guys played that position), the lower it is the better the training will be

Only the number of positions.

Balanced training is generally considered most effective, i.e., not sticking to a single skill but training different skills every (few) week(s).

So if I am training handling for two young guards who generally both start, it would be better to 1)only train PG and have them switch positions after the week's first game, so they both play 48 minutes at PG

RATHER THAN

Train both PG and SG and have them each start at different positions?

I hope my run on sentence makes sense....

Only PG training and switch their positions, so they both play 48 mins at PG.

I will join my doubts here if you dont mind.

So, how is better to do either train 4 (more I think is impossible) players on the position PF/C or only 2 at position C ?? Let's assume that players are quite similar.

...Another issue concerns training of Rebounds. Why is not there an option to train only C in that skill? All skills for tall players are available for only C position beside this one. Then, when you want to train only 2 players on that position it is getting less effective as you have to set it for 2 positions (PF/C).

taff question, i would say it depends on the trainees ;) The better the trainees are, one position training gets stronger because you could increase their value faster. But for the normal trainee, i think two position training is a bit more effective. You should use your Cup/friendly match for training also.

Then, when you want to train only 2 players on that position it is getting less effective as you have to set it for 2 positions (PF/C).


On the one hand thats right, but in my case it was always my plan B, i try to give my three training some minutes there as Backup and change the player on the second spot. So i could easily train two positions, when the minutes are worst for one Position. Because i find it ok to waste one training spot in two position, to get all on full minutes instead of training 1 position with inefficient minutes(the border is hard tell, but i break up when my main trianee get below 43 or my third below 41).
