If you have only just started and start investing in scouting now, I don't think it will really count towards this years draft?

If you start scouting now and for the rest of next season, then come next years draft you will be able to see quite a bit of info for the draft picks.

It counts on this year draft. On the next season, you have to start over. In my case that i will be on a decent position to draft i started the season with 5000, and after the all star game 10.000. Last season that i was the 2nd best team i only invest 5000. I got a decent guard, and 2 scraps.

Edit: Chose trainer with fitness speciality. Your team is young so you dont need that. My trainer has fitness expertie and until now ive got only 1 drop from 1 player on stamina. Also trainers with 5 skill are very expensive with high sallaries, so i am not sure that are affortable for you

10 players are too few in my opinion. 12 is a reasonable size. With only 10 players it will be very difficult to not play some players too much and decrease their game shape.

I doubt that there is a big value in investing in scouting. I would put $10000 for the scouting. But your chances of finding something really good just because you draft early is still pretty poor as you get little information.

I more meant that if you start investing in scouting now, don't expect to get a lot of info since it's so close to the end of the season. But you should be able to see some info for a few players this draft if you invest now.

Depends how long it is since he started. New teams get a set amount of scouting to start with. It may be smart to scout a little. Although I personally don't use any money on it at all after 3 seasons with only 1 decent pick. I depend on chance alone ;)
