I looked at the early season match ratings for both teams and they are not that much different. His are better but not by a huge margin.

Sure, he's playing a bot but the bot is not going to roll over for him. I remember in my early days I tied a bot on the road and was punished for it. And I think my enthusiasm was pretty good at the time.

My early Cup history is comical, so maybe I shouldn't comment.

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

Surly if you only have a eth of about 3, then the difference between TIE and normal on your eth is nominal? Daily increase will more effective. I'd consider going normal.

I think the more important thing to note - you played normal and won. A TIE and you probably would have lost.

I'll use TIE this week, since there's almost no way I'm going to win my cup game.

Enthusiasm is extremely important (I'm trying to teach my division mates this but some are very slow learners). However, it is also important to pick your spots to TIE. I don't think that "TIE all the time no matter what" is a smart strategy. There is a soft cap for enthusiasm so at some point, playing TIE has almost no effect.
