Question to all candidates:

How do you plan to sacrifice success for your club team for the greater good of the U21 team?

JR is last for the cost reasons as well as it taking a while to train. Dont get me wrong though i would love a player on the team with high JR...i even trained my own...but i just believe the others cab provide you with the scoring needed beside having high JR.

As far as the question about niche players....If i am elected coach i will make sure the best players are on the team. That may mean a playet is a niche player or he can do multiple things. Ive already been looking at what we have in the pipeline amd we have a mix of players. I feel there are 4 types of niche player: Pure defensive, pure shooter, pure passing guard, pure rebounder. Those players will find their spots on the team but wont comprise the whole roster. It never hurts to have players with the same skill set. Just like this past season I bet Rambo would have loved to have 2 players with the same skillset like Jimmie Brown. Maybe we couls have run more outside offense then. As manager we have to take the hand we are dealt do the best we can to make a roster that will win and I'm confident that I can do that.

Italy beat Poland because Poland throughout the tournament played a big at SF, and in that game Italy played a SG at SF. That doesn't reflect much in the match ratings but that SF was the leading scorer and probably made the difference. That SG also probably had decent guard ID(8 or 9) which limited the big at SF from also dominating. Another reason is Italy had a 19 Reb guy on their team that helped in that game.

Before the schedule was released I would have said Brasil, Canada, and Chile. Of course does that mean we can be beat by other teams? Sure. But those three teams are ones we'll have to study for with greater attention. Now seeing our schedule we only play Canada and Chile round 1, and not until the last two weeks. We start the season with 3 cakewalks. That allows additional time to call up 12 and play with those while we look for the stable GS players during the next 3 weeks.

1.I'm looking for my specialty guys. 1 R@G SG's, 2 LI PG, 1 ID/Reb specialist, 2 IS/ID specialist, and depending on our personnel 1-2 SF's. Then I'll continue there with the 15/15/15 type bigs, and combo guards to help with the depth. Those will be my 1st 12. Also GS is the most important factor when picking players for the. The next is actual skill set. There has been dozens of instances where the U21 or NT needs 1 guy to be called up due to various reasons and 95% of the time the best 9 GS guy wins over the best overall.

2.Use no more than 2 normals during the America's season.

3. I could do two things, and probably will if necessary. I will approach nicely and nudge them about GS, and why it is so critical for both the U21 and their club. If that doesn't work than I'll tell them I can't play them, and that they'll lose some merch because they'll be sitting on the bench, and that merch money lost will be damning to their club, and could set them back. Hey I don't have to be nice 100% of the time. People respect fear more than they respect respect.

4.I love questions like these. My ideal player would be something similar to B-Rod last season. I love players like him. 12/7/14/10/13/7 10/9/8
That's 90 I think.

1. Let's say you start with 12 players on the roster. How do you plan on choosing those 12 players?
2. Name two goals for your term that don't include: win the Americas, win the Worlds or avoid repechage.
3. Lets assume you had two of the best big men in the world. Give me two ways you could try to get their managers to stay in good GS

and the always fun question:

4. If I gave you 90 skill points (not including FT or ST) how would you allocate them?

1. Bigs: 5-6. I think the potential for the bigs are really important. I would theoretically like to limit them to 8 potential and higher, but depending on GS the first few weeks, might have to call up a 7pot big. 7 Potential bigs won't be good enough towards the end of the season. 9 and 10 potential bigs that can continue to improve in season, when everyone else's bigs are capped is crucial.
Guards: 6-7. I would need 7 potential or higher. And there would probably be a minimum level of OD.
SF: 1, maybe.. that would depend on skill set.

The things I would take into account are current GS, and how the manager has previously managed the players GS. If the guy played 48 minutes every game last season, I won't call him up until I'm confident he'll have the proper GS. Also have to take into account the managers training plans. The roster will be chosen based on how the skills can work together. There were a few shooters that we left off the roster this season because we were going to run LI so much.

2. Increase the number of people training players for U21 and discussion on the off-site tactics threads by doing more PR on-site. Get jfarb to be vice president of the Ricky Logsdon fan club. Leave the pipeline of talent in even better shape than it is now.

3. Convince them that they only way they're effective for his club team is if they are in good GS. And merchandise! Allow him to keep the players in 7 and low 8 GS for much of the season, in exchange for training GS when it matters at the end.

4. Why do people always create SF type players with this question?

I want this guy:
3/1/4/1/1/4 - 30/22/23/1

or this guy:
20/18/18/10/10/7 - 1/3/2/1

or:
15/9/7/4/4/8 - 7/17/16/3

...that guy would torch Hammond in a outside offense.

2. Actually there already is a Vice President of the Ricky Logsdon Fan Club: Moflaffle
jfarb can be Historian. Maaaybe.

4. That's actually probably the best answer I've seen to that question yet.

I'm answering this as well since I'll probably have a U21 guy on the team as well.

I'll keep it short. We don't get elected to favor our players over others. If our players happen to fit the scheme we want to run, they'll be played, but it's not because of selfish reasons. In smallfries case, Yi will most definitely be on the team day 1, but we all, including smallfrie, know Yi is only going to play in R@G, and I know my guy will probably only ever play as a R@G Center. The manager should never matter in selecting players to play.

We won't know until we scout everyone. Most NT's are LI, but again we can't be 100% sure on what we run until we scout everyone, and even then I doubt we'll be running the same tactic every game all season.

Irrelevant. My team doesn't deserve a manager like me. They're all slackers.
