Things I've learnt this season:
- Enthusiasm - it does matter
- Game Shape - it exists
- Arena - build it and they will come
- go for it - winning one game can cost you 3 losses
- junk time can stuff up training
- trainee fouling out - as above
- relegation games cross over - learnt that one tonight
- beer is bad when it gets in your mouth
Some great lessons there, tigertills. What about the importance of Scrimmages? Particularly for GS and training.
Yeah, junk time can really suck. I've been lucky a couple times this season where my number 2 trainee, Rodriguez, had 5 fouls going into the last quarter and both times managed to avoid the unecessary fouling duirng junk time.
Enthusiasm...I hold this knowledge in great esteem. Last season, for example, there were 4 teams that were, on papaer, better than mine on my side of the league. However, becuase I TIE every game (except TV and rival games I think I might lose) my enthusiasm is awesome come playoff time and usually takes care of weaker teams along the way.
As for the beer, well...it's all good. lol
