Otherland Owner and GM, finally got the budget squared away this week. As Otherland has positive money, they can begin making some small changes, to radically improve their team's chances of winning. Something needs to be mixed up as this season is beginning to spiral the wrong way....

A tied game at the half, spiraled out of control for Otherland. The second half was all Kansas.
6 players for Otherland in dbl figure scoring. Only 4 for Kansas. First quarter was especially ugly for Paul Salas, whom picked up all 3 of his personal fouls in the 1st quarter. Kansas Jayhawks, apparently watching the game film from the Indy Super Saints game, put the clamp on Julio "Jesus" Falcao, Holding Falcao to 6-26 shooting, including 2-12 on 3s, with 3-6 at the FT line, Falcao ended the game with 17 pts, 6 boards (2 offensive) 6 assists, 1 turnover, and 2 steals. Chung Hui, coming off the bench for Salas and Belkhaus contributed 17 pts on 5-13 shooting, including 1-5 from downtown and 6-8 at the charity stripe, 17 pts 7 reboundds (1 offensive) 2 assists and 0 turnovers in 33 solid minutes off the bench. Quigley playing small forward for the 2nd time in a week. a dbl dbl. 14 pts, 10 rebounds (2 offensive) 4 assists, 4 turnovers, and 1 steal on 5-17 shooting, including 1-3 beyond the arc, and 3-4 at the line. Belkhaus not leaving anything on the court, played 37 minutes before fouling out. He left the game with a staggering 13 pts on 5-7 shooting, and 3-4 at the FT line, 15 rebounds (3 offensive) 2 assists 3 turnovers, 1 steal, and 4 blocks. If only Otherland could have found a way to get him the ball more while he was in. Singer a quiet game, 4-9 shooting, 2-3 from downtown, 3-4 at the charity stripe, ended with 13 pts, 3 assists, 0 turnovers, 1 steal, and 2 blocks. Typically we see a little more noise from Singer, but a solid performance overall. Paul Salas, again playing the tough matchups, ended with 11 pts on 5-12 shooting, 1-2 from downtown, 0 FT attempts, 3 rebounds (1 offensive), 2 turnovers, 1 steal, and 1 block, collecting all 3 pf in te 1st quarter, and playing only 25 minutes of action.

All in all, you want to see more quality minutes out of Salas, and some better looks from Falcao, or atleast Falcao looking to distribute the ball more to the hot hands of Singer and Belkhaus when he doesn't have his A game. A heartbreaking home-loss in front of a sellout crowd. Long turnaround before their next league game, and management with some money. Coming up right before the all-star break, lets wait and see what happens.

All 3 of Belkhaouas' offensive rebounds, came on the same possession around the 9 minute mark in Q2, lasting till 808 in q2, without Otherland able to score on the possession. Epic Fail. But his dbl dbl came in the 1st half. Kansas hitting a 3 with 2 seconds left in the half tied it up, but Otherland started the 2nd half on a 7-0 run, after a Kansas Jayhawks Timeout, it was all Kansas from there on. as they coasted along, outrebounding Otherland 57-42 and stopping Belkhaouos from even touching the ball offensively with 0 shot attempts, with 21 minutes left in the game, en route to a 106-92 win

at 5-7 now, Otherland still only 1 game, and a 100 point differential back from a playoff spot. Sit in 6th place in their division. Coach Troy Valmont, now desperately trying to figure out, what the problem with his team is. Here are their losses on the season:
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/42845405/boxscore.aspx lost 88-77 on a buzzer beater
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/42845413/boxscore.aspx Lost by 9 at home 117-108, team's 2nd leading scorer an 0-9 performance, rest of team combined 45-84.
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/42845421/boxscore.aspx best team in league, lost 138-82
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/42845444/boxscore.aspx Lost it on road as other team went on a 13-0 run in final 2 minutes to close game out 84-79
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/42845453/boxscore.aspx vs best team in other division, resting 2 starters. 117-77
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/42845469/boxscore.aspx on the road, pissed away a huge lead in the 4th quarter, getting outscored 46-24 in the 4th, and losing a game that they were close in late despite losing the lead, 110-99
http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/42845477/boxscore.aspx At home, went on 7-0 run to start 3rd, up 52-45, before Other team took a timeout, and then took over.

What's the reoccuring trend? Coach Valmont thinks poor PG play, forcing him to play Falcao at PG instead of at SG where he can be more effective defensively, is a huge part of the problem. Rebounding looks to be another issue. What is Otherland's mkost pressing concern? 7 players on Otherland average dbl digit scoring. 6 players getting atleast 5 rebs a game. 16 team turnovers a game is concerning. Where do the good things end, and the problems begin, are there even good things?

Otherland Owner Troy Valmont's first move with the budget, firing PR manager Yanar Naghiyev, and hiring Ognjen Davidov. Ognjen Davidov with more of a national Appeal focus, than Naghiyey's crowd involvement, and is Advanced as opposed to comptent. Otherland trying to shake things up

They help a ton for ticket sales I feel... I (new PR guy,s o may change), went from 30% last year with the basic-ish guy no specialty, to over 90% every home game this season, with a lvl 3 guy, with home crowd thing.

They also give your team a slight boost in how they play home vs road, based on their specialty, I heard.
Since my team has choked 3 games on the road... I figure I need the road guy more. Plus, more road wins = more fans at home games anyways.

What helps the most is winning away games. It also depends on what you do with your teams. If you keep the same team and are winning you should sell out or close to it without one. If you blow your team up and your losing then having one would be a great idea. In my opinion their best for lower division teams with money to spend on that kind of stuff. The financials of this game become way more complicated as you move up in division.(unless your stadiums huge) so beware of what you spend your money on. But the trainer specialties really help.
