Looks like he isn't that smart after all, haha :p

Also the one problem with having guides I think would be finding people who actually wanted to do it. Mentoring a couple of people isn't so bad, but if you're in a big nation with a lot of people joining every week, it would be a pain to have to explain the simplest things over and over again. There may be some people who would want to do this, but I personally would not want to have to explain a bunch of useless info to people only for them to quit a week later :>/ Why can't people just read?

Yeah I can see that happening, so there could be a very easy way to stop being a guide if you'd like to. Id be up for it :)

Just thought I would make sure everyone knew I was kidding. BB is a complex game and is pretty tough to understand in full. Personally, I found everything I needed in the Game Manual and Guide to BB. Maybe a sort of welcoming committee wouldn't be such a bad idea. Just make yourself available to a new manager give them some links to helpful sources of info. I like the idea of having guides. It wouldn't necessarily have to be that intensive, just provide a few links, maybe answer a few initial questions and be off. I'd be up for that. But it'd have to be designed so that it isn't particularly intensive or guides would get overwhelmed.

@jackstevens I think you mean he was your mentor ;)

@lamchops There's still a lot of questions left to answer but if people just read the damn manual and GM-Rips guide to BB then they will probably have enough knowledge to win in d.5 or any low division in any country easily.

I'm school smart, it's just that I hate tests. Especially reading, unless it's an exciting story, this is making me yawn. Boring stories make me sleep.............snor...........snor......................snor

I didn't read thru this whole thread, so I'm sorry if this has been mentioned already, but one thing that might be off putting to new users is the in-game chat. I don't know about other countries, but the USA chat is full of trolls and idiots. I remember when I joined, the chat was a great place to just chat about whatever. We could get around 100 users on there, and there still wouldn't be many problems. I had fun just going on and chatting, now I haven't watched one of my games in months. I pretty sure I wasn't the only one run off by this either, because when I do go on there, there is usually 30 people at most.
