in this case you need more training spot, instead of better draft. Since else still the best people would be choosen.

Or you make a uniform draft, which makes traded obsolent, since all player look the same.

#6 you have as a fail... even though NY did nothing with him except package him in trade for Carmello.

In Denver, he is the most crucial player to their winning. If you look at their record when he starts, vs when he doesn't.
They'll rave Ty Lawson, and Faried, yadda. but Gallinari is the actual one whom defends the 2, 3, 4 positions, hits perimeter shots, drives the lane, passes decent, rebounds decent, and hits FTs. He leads to their success more than any other single player on Denver.

So I'll say the fail there, is on the NY coaching rather than the player himself. Gallinari has been more successful than Eric Gordon, he just does it in such a way where he's a pippen to the team's jordan.

Randolph... Did well in Memphis... Randolph in fact does better than Mayo in memphis.

And Jason Thompson....I'd like better production for him to be considered "proof" when Gallinari whom is a "fail" puts up better production

I don't understand your points here. The BB draft and NBA draft are completely different things. One is focused on trainees, the other is focused on getting a player that can help you right away. I'm pretty sure we can find atleast one divV league, where atleast 7 picks are starters right away.
I'm pretty sure managers like to see the up arrows on their players, if you get complete players from draft, the training should be toned down to minimal. That means, players receive a pop per season. Currently, even if you get a good pick, you still have to train him properly, for him to produce. A lot better than just getting complete player like D.Rose from draft.
Also you should not look at it in a way NBA draft = 1 BB league draft, but NBA draft = whole BB draft. Sure there are no DivI starters in BB draft, but there are more potential and improving players for sure.

right now in a draft it is like

60% total rubbish role players etc
20% star & all star
10% perennial allstar & superstar
10% mvp +

i think it should be like
25% total rubbish role players etc
50% star & all star
20% perennial allstar & superstar (superstars about the same but a dramatic increace in perennial allstars)
5% mvp + (yes actually less!)

so most players r trainable but the super good ones should be really rare

there will still be heights
there will still be salaries
there will still be skill mixes
there will still be aggression
there will still be variation in potential

is this really all players the same & the end of trading?

disagree lots of nba drafted players dont help right away the majority

sure in the nba draft each season there r players like rose, lebron etc who will help right away but think about this seasons draft

outside of Anthony Davis & Michael Kidd-Gilchrist how many r expected to start right away? vast majority will be in development & support role for a while until they get trained & r good enough to become starters in the nba

Sure there are no DivI starters in BB draft, but there are more potential and improving players for sure.

obv i dont expect an 18 yr old rookie to be a div 1 starter

but what i do expect is that 5 seasons later many or at least SOME draft picks will be starters

The point of the draft is not to get a starter to every team. Sure, drafts are different in strenght, but a backup in one team, might be a starter in bobcats. If you don't start eating up minutes in your first season in the NBA, you might aswell pack your bags for D-League or Europe. Guys getting garbage minutes, usually do not sign another contract after their rookie contract ends.
Second round draft picks aren't even guaranteed a contract.
I looked at their first TSV Bogen, he has atleast 3 players from his own team/draft playing at a respectable level. What do you think, how big of a % the players who never change teams (throughout their all-star career), of all the players drafted in history? So before argueing anything you should calculate that %.
Like I have sayd before, there is A LOT of talent on TL for practically nothing, after every draft. It's not hard to draft a star or allstar. Sure you need to invest a bit more in draft. Now here you say, "I can buy a better player from the TL", but if you want to train a player you drafted yourself, wouldn't that mean, you should invest more, instead of crying for draftee level raise.
There is enough potential on the draft. You have drafted MVP and Allstar in S18 draft while picking 15-th and 31-st. Allstar and Star in S19, with 16-th and 32-th pick. Potential would lose it's point, if you can train 75% of players to atleast divI level backups.
