In the end what will happen is that if you lose a game, people who asked for another tactic will rant about it, like Oreo (if I remember well) did for the semi final ("I TOLD YOU TO PLAY MOTION"), dividing more and more the community interested by U21 team. In the long term, it is a bad mode of operation.

For roster selection you have also to keep as neutral as possible, so a few staff members is better for the same reason. I know that this selection is a very picky topic as managers which see their player not selected can be really unhappy. Lobbying can't be accepted.

Of course it is a duty to explain to the community your tactic choices with a game preview just before the game, discuss it on the chat if possible, analyse the game result afterwards etc. So you are open to community discussion obviously.

+1 as many times as i possibly can. While i am supporting a country-mate over you in the end, i think that this opinion is very valid despite an inaccuracy (Oreo did not contend that Motion was the right play, he contended that we should have run Man), and shows a more neutral opinion than most can provide about what happens on the u21 level. If you make the right decision, then people lobbying for different strategies or decisions tend to say very little about what they were clamoring for. When you are wrong, those times you were right are gone and you are left with having to listen to the garbage. It's not a USA problem alone even, it's an everywhere problem. Should've have run this, should have played him is the common argument every time something goes wrong. Doesn't mean we have dirty laundry to air, it's probably the same in france, spain, china, canada, brazil, latvia, germany, etc, etc.

Frankly,

And I know this fits "suggestions" more:
But if there was no merchandise bonus for players of teams being on NTs and U21s, and no teams got the benefit/advantage of that over others, I'd never even feel the slightest need to look in u21/by directions for anything at all going on in it.

But as BB is currently built, it does factor in, there are competitive advantages to it, and so you're left with 2 ways to play: ignore trying to gain the advantage, or try and gain the advantage yourself.

"This thread is for debating. Anybody may post here as many times as they would like, but keep away from personal attacks."

Just before it gets there, thought i would repost that line.

It went there already. All because someone didn't like a question I asked everyone.

I withdraw from this thread, as I am content that The French guy, was able to answer a question without overreacting.

Edit:
It is my personal belief. That whomever is elected needs to have a level head and be able to take criticism. Both of which have been lacking since EBW.

This question is for everyone:

What nationality are you?

If you're a foreigner, why do you think you deserve the head coaching job of a USA U21 team over USA players?

Also if you're a foreigner of a competitive country in Worlds, how can USA players feel you will be reliable when we play your country?

If you're an American, GO AMERICA!!

What forum for communicating away from these open onsite threads would you suggest? I think anyone who is elected would be open to whatever was easiest for everyone to communicate with.

I once had a team with 1757 players and was $25,835,360 in debt. This is not that team. Join the Discord group open to anyone, but especially for USA managers to improve your club or get involved with the U21 and NT programs (https://discord.gg/cKpNkt2).

I just read a bunch of words stating you should be coach because you're different and know different approaches. I would suggest most, if not all running for U21, have different approaches to coaching. I don't think giving a foreigner the reigns of a major country U21 should be the answer.

I have a different approach than probably everyone. Maybe I should run for U21 USA coach!

George Johnson for President!

I mean, if this was a meritocracy I'd be the shoo-in choice for the manager. But that is not how these elections go, which is a shame since the reigns should be passed to the right choice, and not the hot choice.
