Hey, I was in your situation in div IV U.S. a couple of seasons ago. As it is your first season, it isn't impossible to win your league. In division 4, teams don't really manage game shape or enthusiasm, just look at the guy in 1st place in your league. I was able to do that and win my division my first season. Then since you are not bounded by the salary floor for the first 24 weeks, you should take advantage of that and save as much money as you can. I think the general consensus is to put all that money into the arena and I guess I'd have to agree but to build up a large arena takes millions which honestly does equate to a few of seasons. That could be boring. I think I am more on the side of being competitive, but it really doesn't take much in div.4. I'm currently only a couple of thousand above the salary floor (73k) in div. 4 and I'm confident I will be promoting this season.
