Would kinda like to see him come back, the Big 8 was mega interesting this season.

Though we'll almost certaintly get the toughest promotee to compensate.

I think that is probably Chumunga he has an amazing team and tanked for 5-6 seasons so probably still has millions left in the bank.

You got to add in the salary you have to pay in the next economy update. So the team paid roughly 450k, just that you pocketed like 70k after tax? Only way for him to have gone more would have been if you carried him into the new season. But any smart manager would not have done that.

See thats the thing... any rival country can go and make a new team and bid on Radford for 85k.
Then the plan would be to mess around with his gameshape til the team goes bot, essentially making Radford retire through free agency.

No one would want to buy Radford with atrocious gamehsape for 1mil.

But thats okay, we have young blood coming through the ranks now... Duffill will fill up the hole for now til the others come of age.

That's the sad reality and that's why Australian teams should be aiming to support their own national players especially the merchandise gains they can possibly receive. Of course, I don't ever expect to see another Radford-type player to be created but maybe more of the well rounded 200-250k bigs.

At the moment there's no guarantee Duffill will be in the national squad at the start of next season. If Datz doesn't come back that means he will be playing 120 minutes a week and even gameshape training will do jack all...
