I think you should be happy. 9-12 pops is totally normal for an 18 year old rookie and you only get more if they had a lot of skills randomly with high sub-levels at the start (I have seen Indian and Bolivian players get six pops in their first three weeks) or you do a lot of one on one training.
By comparason my training has been all over the place this season. Lots of different guys like Lawrance, Sperbert, Vallo, and Oliver have been trained depending on what was happening that week and only Barton and Kumar have been trained every week.
Barton: age 24 had six pops so far, HA, OD, PA, DR, PA, HA.
Kumar: age 22 had eight pops so far, JS, DR, PA, OD, PA, HA, PA, DR.
My training this season has been 5 x PA, 3 x OD, 2 x one on one for forwards. I tend to do my stamina and free throw training during the playoffs when I need the best team on the floor so I don't have to worry about training minutes at that time.
I do feel like I am missing out with the young players and as both Barton and Kumar should be good enough to start in league games next season I think I will try to get an Aussie rookie at the start of next season if you, Iwen and Shanmag let me.
Only reason you should be unhappy is that you haven't done more inside training while you can without it costing you league games that you care about. I didn't do it in season 18 and now it is far too difficult, the one on one for forwards is as close as I can get.
