Salaries don't mean everything. I couldn't care less what you do. The hubris is astounding and I honestly don't think you have any more clue than the rest. I think you got a nice team by buying and selling free agents and were lucky to beat BC T because of better game shape.

That's sounds about right...

Or, alternatively, train game shape this week, play push the ball and man-to-man and you will win. I guarantee it.

No, runners up medal is probably ready for me. Your team is good enough.
All B3 matches this season I was self-confident and I thought I can make it. But this time it will be very hard I think you are closer to win and I will need luck to beat you. Since semifinal my opponents needed luck but they didn’t get it.

By daytrading I earned maybe $1M-2M (maybe even less). It is not really main think of my team history.
Salaries are very important. If you build for $450k weekly as strong team as someone with salaries $650k or $800k weekly then you safe $200k or $350k every week. It's about $2.8M or $4.9M in a season. Forget some marginal earnings for bought and sells 5 seasons ago.

I absolutely agree with you about the savings of your team salary. I was looking at salary as a way to determine player quality, not from the overall economy of it. My point was that a higher salary does not by any means mean a better player, especially at salaries that teams of your caliber are paying. A 25K per week player can be better than one of 50k, even at the same position. So beating teams with higher salaries doesn't mean that much to me.

To look at a team history you must look at "marginal earnings... seasons ago" because at the time that money allowed you to advance to trading a different level of player, where the sums dealt increased quite dramatically and rapidly. It was not against the rules, so fair play to you.

I think it was you who needed the luck to beat BC T and got it, not he who needed luck and didn't get it. I believe there to be a substantial advantage involved in game shape, which seems especially to affect... well, I suppose you know which skills it affects.

Do you think it's only luck to beat 3 top 10 teams in a row and have smaller player salaries than all of them?

Kinda, for 2 of 3 you had HCA... For real though, congrats to your team, I'm happy to have gone out to a B3 finalist. Especially one that managed to take out the best team in the history of BB on neutral court.

You definitely seem to have amassed quite a bit of information on teams based on what you told me about mine. But you still have to make good decisions with that information and that's the hard part at this level, since just about every team has the ability to attack and defend almost any way they wish.

Good luck to both you and Sharman, hopefully it's a tight match with OT's and buzzerbeaters for the benefit of us neutrals. I do have a soft spot for Cassado though.

You are true I have HCA for 2 of these 3 matches, but both sides knew the draw when setting the lineups. As a road games it would be more difficult and I wouldn't be so self-confident especially against your team.
But I'm not really sure neutral side works. Maybe I had HCA also in semifinals and Sharman will have in final.

Congratulations to rwystyrk. I am sure he planned very carefully this match, and he won. Talking about luck at this level of the game (B3) is ridiculous, and a little bit offensive coming from people who do not know the details of the match.
I don´t think "luck" has been the main point in the B3 semifinal with BCT. As far as I know, Game Shape is not just a question of luck, and of course the tactic war was clearly on the side of the winner.
For people who think that tactics in BB is just setting a tactic in the tactic page, BB is probably very short in tactical options and this match may appear as a lucky day for the winner.
For people who think that the winner of the match must be the winner of the team reatings, it was of course a clear expample of good luck.
The most blind person is the person who does not want to see, and traslated to BuzzerBeater, it seem that some people are still playing hattrick and trying apply the same logic. Fortunately this is not hattrick, and there are many ways to fool "hattrick players".
