I would like to know how I should train this player. Would love advise from experienced managers. Currently playing at PF.

im not experienced but... i can help you with the basic ^_^ might need sammy or namssor pick up what i've missed

first, looking at his stats and height, i dont think pf is a good choice =(

level 1 IS makes it really hard.... im thinking he could be a good outside base SF
or a pure SG with level 7 RB skill ^_^, i call them rebound guard =D

he got good rebound and jump shot (core for good SF) note : exclude the defense
and his defend is mediocre and average those are the one you need to train on.

if you want to make him SF = train both defense up
if SG = just focus OD.



i think just average his game up for now, make him a jack of all trait. and start specializing next season. his stats is all over the place right now.



things to do this season.

Train your stamina on all star break = this is a must, i find STM > FT. you have 1/5 chance for this player of going to the line anyway >.<

FT training (do Stamina instead)

unless you are desperate, don't start him this season, jump play scrim 48min. that handling and passing, FT and IS( if he's playing at PF) is going to cost you a lot of game.




there's soo much possibilities with this player, is easy to screw up. but the reward will be sweet ^_^

sry justa quick review, ganna go shower and such, give smmy and namssor Private Massage, they'll help you out.

Do a bit of 1 on 1 forwards training while he's young Tmac, get his handling and driving to a decent level then just go hard on ID, ID and RB. Don't worry about SB as that just balloons his salary for little gain. I wouldn't worry to much about passing but if you want to pop it a couple of times I suggest doing it in his first season :P

I'd start with ID, but rotate the 3 skills (ID, IS, REB) equally. At the young age you need to get a good base for all the important skills. His guard skills are so bad you're pretty much resigned to making him a Center.

HDog, Dougal has a weird mix of skills. He also has an unfortunate height, he's in between big man and guard (though I think height is a bit overrated, look at Del Smith a few posts above and how fast he's popped in big man skills). He could really be anything you want, depending on what your team needs are, and what your other young trainees are skilled in. I'd probably go with either SF or guard, but then again I'm a guard trainer :-) He could also be a good defensive PF/C.

In summary, he could be whatever you want him to be. Nice to have that kind of flexibility lol.

Evan Rose should definitely be trained by 1 position in bigman skills... If you want him to be able to help you right away, training him 1 position is the way to go... Go ID first, then after pop go to RB, then after RB pop go to IS... After that Go back to ID training... Find him a suitable training partner... Preferably another rookie big... I saw a rookie Kiwi big on sale the other day.. If I was training bigs I would have grabbed him immediately... By next season, he could have triple prominent in bigman skills and if lucky enough, maybe a few prolific stats...

I think that I will start with the 1 on 1 training for a few weeks, just to lift his ability to set up others, as I have some prolific scorers on the perimeter like Nikolay Zinger who averaged 27 ppg last season. After that I will definitely listen to you namssor about ID and IS, and a tad of RB.

Basically after a few pops on handling and driving, I will focus on and rotate his core interior skills.

How is everyones rookies going so far this season? I ended up firing two of mine and the 7"2' PF that I was going to train into a SF ended up on the market :P So I don't have any of my own rookies left on my team but brought a Kiwi rookie off the market and he has popped 3 times in the last two weeks :)

He also started his first league game for me on Saturday and played the full 48 mins with 27 points 8 assists 3 steals and 2 blocks! (I will forgive him for the 4 turnovers)

So anyone else wanna share their rookie stories so far?

He's looking good Chris, I sold all 3 of my picks as they were VERY average, so no kiwi rookies for me this season. I'm putting a lot into scouting though so i'm hoping for big things rookie and training wise next season :D
