What your saying might be true, but what most people do is buy a player for $1000 to help manage gameshape that particular week and then cut the guy before they pay his salary on Monday. So the actual cost is quite low ($1000), even for lower divisions. Plus it doesn't have anything to do with floor salary because those players aren't on your roster when salaries are paid. And I think that most teams that do this would agree that is a very cheap way to help manage gameshape which is very important for success. And it's also the one thing that most managers screw up in this game.

that a nic e long dialouge of opinion and insight.. I respect what your saying . But i can see my players ppg and how they have progressed over the seasons i have been playing. with game shape. I think game shape does equal money back in return.

i think a small ball club should be saving not just trying to fill a player slot for sake of floor salries becuase they should arleady be very simple to manage , unless they're reckless spending. he can find much better young player for 1k$ and then sell him for alot more than he paid at the end of the season.

So i do think in the end getting money back for the player and training game shape does equal masses revenue..

As far my uselful 18 yr old.. If you want to buy him just let me know.. I realy dont need him with my pg and sg and sf getting about 18 ppg( bench players as well) and while my team is averering 120 ppg.. How am i going to play him it not fiar to bot teams.. Buit in seriousness :) A new good player does not cost 10k you can find better for 1ks if your know your stuff. i sold a few very good player for cheap 1-3Ks and the bidder resold them for 120 or better, and they where/are good players.. :)

And i did train game shape with each and every one them as well as the 18 yrs your liking so much. so in the end me and bidder made/will make money . They made more after they resold than me but hey .. Im v division what do i know.."I ll get better though. :)

Fine. Continue what you are thinking. But if you take a 5k player and only train game shape, you're not going to get much more money for the exact game 5k player just with some extra levels of game shape.

And if you are training game shape, you are doing a poor job of it.

Except for having terrible bad luck, there is no excuse for not having an 11-12 man roster and not being able to keep them at strong/proficient game shape without having to train game shape.

I have no use for your 18 year old which you haven't trained for half a season.

You are averaging 120 ppg because you are playing against bots. Hell, even bots score that many points against each other. This is why some leagues have bots as scoring leaders or having league records. Facing human opponents you will be crushed.

I found a good 1k player this week to manage my team's game shape. He had 7 OD, 7 ID, 6 JS and had 9 GS. He played well for me in the one game and is now enjoying retirement. Please find someone better for 1k that you buy, keep for a season, and sell for more money.

If you sell a 1k player for 3k and that bidder resells for 120k or better as you say, then why the hell aren't YOU selling for 120k? Don't you ask yourself this? They aren't training game shape!

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Ty. But like you said. Everyone plays differ. If ones want to cheat the salary cap. Hey more power to them. I dont think its the right way to play. Which is the point im making.

And to be straight im from the bottom. Im just building Arena in the lower league.

At the last part. Why not sell for 120k. It may sound humorous, but none is going to pay that for div v player. Also i was new at the time. I didnt know anything about future worth & etc.

Like i said before.I will next go around. :)

You may as well get your players bronzed when they hit proficient GS, since that's the best they'll ever be for you (save the small effect of cross-training, of course).

The best way to look at it is by equating gameshape to "fundamentals" or "form" or whatever term you use. A guy that can't shoot but with great GS at least looks good while hoisting up another brick. A guy who can't defend at least is getting into the proper position before being beaten by a better opponent. A guy who can't pass throws the ball really nicely but not necessarily where it needs to go. And when you have a team of highschoolers playing against toddlers, I suppose having untalented players with nice fundamentals is sufficient.
