But not any more random than 18yo. Original question was:
Is it worth getting a 19 year old 5 star 5 potential player? I want to know if it is best to find an 18 year old instead despite those ratings.

My answer is yes, it is. It's better to take 5/5 19yo over random 18yo. Unless you find 18yo that is 5/5 or 4/5 you have better odds of getting more value from that 19yo.

Ive been reading this thread and I had a 5/5 A+ 19 year old that I had 3rd on my list behind two 5/5 18 year olds. I didn't get the 18 year olds but this is how the 19 year old turned out.

Weekly salary: $ 6 283
Role: draws a paycheck
DMI: 0
Age: 19
Height: 7'1" / 216 cm
Potential: hall of famer
Game Shape: respectable

Jump Shot: mediocre Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: strong Handling: atrocious
Driving: average Passing: awful
Inside Shot: strong Inside Def.: strong
Rebounding: strong Shot Blocking: strong
Stamina: atrocious Free Throw: mediocre

Experience: atrocious TSP: 62 (30 + 32

Could use a season of 1v1 for forwards and some passing training but this guy is pretty good for a 19 year old draftee.

You're never going to be able to fix the handling vs driving imbalance and a shame about the stamina, but otherwise very nice!
(because of the stam. you can't guarantee 48 mins, so i'd make you sure you give him 1 sup appearance too. He's worth sacrificing the extra trainee, especially on 2 position training weeks)

Nice one my best 19 year old 5/5 A+ was. In this draft I got 3 players who are 19 year old, two with potential Hall of Fame and last one with MVP potential, pretty good draft I guess.

Weekly salary: $ 4 379
Role: draws a paycheck

DMI: 0
Age: 19
Height: 6'7" / 201 cm
Potential: hall of famer
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: strong Jump Range: inept
Outside Def.: strong Handling: respectable
Driving: respectable Passing: strong
Inside Shot: mediocre Inside Def.: mediocre
Rebounding: average Shot Blocking: pitiful
Stamina: inept Free Throw: average

Experience: atrocious TSP: 60 (42 + 18)

But as i'm new to here pretty much, I don't know what to do with him, because he is 6'7'' as a PG, where do I play him tho? What do I need to train?

It probably makes most sense to turn him into a Small Forward. His current given position means very little. His length determines which skills will train faster/slower. With his middle of the road length he can train both some outside and inside skills at an average pace and he starts of with decent OD.

I think you could start with 1 vs 1 which would improve DR/HD/IS/JS and then upgrade his OD. At some point you could decide whether you want him to be really good inside with high IS or improve that JR more so that he does well in outside offenses. Or go for a balance between the two if that's what you prefer. ID and RB are also nice to have on a SF.

this is not a fully optimized training plan but just some thoughts to give you some direction. It might also be a good idea to ask your countries NT coach for advice since this could be a future NT player (and U21)

So I guess I have to sell the other two prospects with MVP and HOF potential, because they are SG and PG prospects.

But thanks man, you really helped me!
