NP Todd you gave decent advice. But I think you overestimate youth. There is a problem with youth. The money is stored in the player. Its worse if you pay a lot up front for him. Although AerodynamicBull has 3 players now that are sunk-cost assets, to me its better than 1 player that is more of an inventory cost. His ROI is much quicker.

AerodynamicBull was in a tough spot. He had 2 clear choices 1) get the team ready to promote, 2) Wait until next season. Since he had already lost 4 games he needed to quickly get a team together. He decided on option 1. I helped him get ready with option 1. He couldn't really afford young players to try to quickly pull a team together...one more loss and he's on the brink of not making the playoffs this season.

Overall under the circumstances he has OK players. They are not salary efficient, but they will serve their purpose and win him games.

As for me, I did day-trade but its not exactly all that profitable. I am testing out a method I saw the top team in the world do last season. So I will see how that goes.

Oh and I agree, tanking is a bad idea. He is better off staying in Div IV once he gets there. Then just pump money in the arena for a season or two. My third season in Div 5 was ultra-boring. I won every game but I didn't even buy any players up until right before the playoffs. Playing in Div 5 is just a waste. The only good was that I finally drafted a superstar potential player and was able to put more money into my arena.
