Pelicans lost Vasquez and Robin Lopez... that's two starters that would be hard to replace.

So with a potential lineup of:

Holiday / Rivers
Gordon /
Tyreke Evans /
Anthony Davis / Ryan Anderson
Greg Stiemsma /

Would they push for the playoffs in the west? Lots of good teams in the western conference, even the Nuggets would struggle to make the playoffs.

Ty Lawson / Andre Miller /
Randy Foye / Evan Fournier
Gallinari / Wilson Chandler
Faried / Darell Arthur
Mozgov / McGee

Bynum went to the Cavs.
Cavs=Pelicans=Pistons.
Bynum=Davis=Smith
Irving=Holiday=Calderon
Waiters=Gordon=Knight

So many similarities it hurts!

Nuggets won't struggle to make the playoffs. They also have J.J. Hickson now which is a major upgrade from Mosgov. Even with that though, rumors are that McGee and Fournier will be starters. They are also still trying to ditch Andre miller for a faster PG I think. I have no doubt that the Nuggets will be at least a 6th seed. Their lineup will look like this:

Lawson/ Andre Miller
Evan Fournier/ randy Foye
Gallinari/ Wilson Chandler
Faried/ Darrell Arthur
McGee/ JJ Hickson

I could also see Wilson Chandler possibly starting at the SG spot because he is a beast.

Yeah but holiday and Calderon stay healthy

Davis and smith also much healthier than Bynum

If Irving and Bynum both play 70+ games yes. Dangerous dangerous playoff team.
But lets be realistic... Neither of them have been healthy for a full year in quite awhile if ever.

Lakers wont make the playoffs and I'm almost 100% sure that at least one star player for one of those top 5 is going to get injured towards the end of the season, because it always happens. The nuggets placed above the Grizzlies last year as well and I believe they can easily get more wins than them again this season.

Yea, my mistake. Was a little inebriated and not thinking clearly. Josh was probably the best defender on Atl which was he 10h best D last year. However, his offense is the issue. He was the worst on he team affording to advanced stats and actually had negative off win shares for the year. The issue is with his efficiency...he shoots .300 on threes but jacks them up like its his prerogative and shoots way too many long jumpers. Detroit could be tough with Smith/Monroe/Drummond, but only if Smith plays smart.

As for the cavs, I hink people are selling Mike Brown and the team short. Mike can teach Defense. This team is a playoff team with above average defense. Kyrie is better than Jrue and lightyears ahead of Calderon, for the record. Especially if he starts playing some D.

Irving/Jack/Waiters at the Guards
Gee/Clark at SF
Thompson/Bennett
Varejao/Bynum/Zeller

That team is dangerous if healthy and deep enough to handle some injuries. Bynum is just icing on the cake if he can give 20 minutes a night or so. People forget how well Varejao played before he injury last year...having the luxury to monitor his/bynums minutes will help.
