well, promotion also has fringe benefits. you get a promotion bonus, and the weekly income from both ticket sales and tv contract are significantly increased. so while you may demote your first go-around at d2, it's not a lost season. promoting still serves you extremely well, even if you get worked in your new league and demote right away. you can amass capital, allowing you to do all sorts of things. you could spend the season restructuring your team, making massive arena expansions, simply amassing money for future buying power, 100% focus training (perhaps training way way out of position), spend a shitload in scouting knowing you'll be getting a/the top pick... maybe all of these things all at once.

i for sure know that, if/when i do promote, i'll be demoting immediately. i need a bigger arena and a couple new trainees, and need to restructure my team. i can just use the league minimum salary and spend the season doing things that improve my franchise value, so that next time i promote to d2, i'll be ready to stay for good. i'm all for the idea. it keeps leagues fresh and presents new challenges every single season.

Upsyndrome is why you never had a chance in DII. And to think, my beast of a player A. Hinkle almost went to his team. Lol.

You'll be back in DII again in no time.

I'm wondering the same thing... Maybe my slower pace played right into their hands. On the other hand, it was my defense that got torched.

I never led once in that game. That's not a depth problem, that's a team problem. lol

Blob city gotta be hurting after that loss. Played Normal against my TIE, played a fast pace offense with the correct defense against my slow paced offense, ran the correct preparations against my offense.

Impressive first quarter then slowly choked to death until the closing buzzer. I don't know why you scrubs all have it out for me.

"hurting" wouldn't be how i would describe the lost. it was a good time to play normal (I got a TIE cup game again) I know my team isn't ready to win consistently just yet. But it did show me I'm closer to being back in the playoffs than I thought. Played a new purchase for his first game and he had a double double with bad game shape, had my 2nd/3rd best player foul out with 14 mins left in the game (while we were holding the lead... and he's only 22 yrs old) and my star was a star scored 31 points on 27 shots thats getting 1 point on your misses. other than my main 3 i dont have another guy over 10k out there on the court.

Nice win DC good teams find ways to win "ugly" ugly win for you but a win. But i wouldn't get too comfortable there DC your team is NOT unbeatable.
