To me, the whole idea is in the name. Cross-training. So, now the coaches cross-train. While shooting jumpers they make their players run a line drill for every miss. While doing full court full speed passing drills, they have the players go one-on-one at the end. etc. etc.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

You sadistic coach! I always hated when I missed jumpers with those methods applied. I like the explanation, though.

but if the coach didn't do it, you normally tend to throw the ball short in game because you miss the strength from someone who didn't run.

Yup, that's great. Two weeks ago Polh didn't pop in JR after two weeks of training and I didn't like it. I switched to OD training and next week poof!, pop in JR from crosstraining. Must have been pretty lucky ;)

Btw, I'm thinking now if it's been a coincidence Polh popped exactly in JR that had as high sub-level as possible or not. Is it possible cross training isn't random, but goes to the skill with highest sublevel? Or have I been just lucky?

That's normal training at Jump Shot for wings (SG / SF). In Guards (SG / PG) is not trained inside shot. But I may be mistaken, too ;-) Sorry for my bad english ...

It's not a normal pop because JS doesn't train ID ;)

Logical. That's true of course. I have a small "d" ignored :-)
