Yep. I kept waiting for you to buy somebody but you never did. No idea where you're going with your team, but I hope I promote so I don't have to find out.

It's not really mercenaries if you sell 130k in salary right before the playoffs. You could add 200k and not even be the highest payroll in the league.

Hopefully I don't find some way to screw things up.

I'll be happy to not answer any questions you may have, thereby helping you immensely.

Yeah, I couldn't see myself winning it all this season, and if I didn't, would have gone bankrupt and would have had to sell off probably the same people anyway. Now, I get a training program, which is pretty new to me. Hopefully I can not demote next season and my training program sets me up for the following season. I bought that 21 yo 6'8" PF intending to train him as a guard for a bit. You can guess my goal is to make a 'well-rounded' SF. He won't be a shut-down-whomever-you match up against him and score at will dude, but if he allows me to play any defense and any offense, no matter what type of team I play, then that will be cool.

I almost completely tanked to fall into 5th, but I thought I had to give myself a shot in the playoffs. I almost pulled it out, leading going into the 4th, but the final score looked ugly because I missed 3's and he made FTs in the last minute. If I tanked, I would have saved 250k and been happier today.

No matter what happens in the playoffs, next season should have a much different feel with a few teams rebuilding.

Should be fun.

I feel as if some teams are capable of making a leap next season. Even without the rebuilding, it's possible the landscape could change considerably.

Training and a plan for the future are a must. Even had you managed to promote, with no real internal growth going on, it would be incredibly tough to stay up there.

That's kind of why I hinted at no 'real' training program. I was training my older bigs in sf/pf driving and JS. It either really sucks for mid-late twenty yo or they were so close to the skill cap, that side skills wouldn't increase either. So I basically wasted this season's of training getting almost no skill pops. I'm go to go in the completely opposite direction and do one position training with the pg and jr option....of course, my dudes are still well past there teenage glory days.... Hopefully this works out or I might have to start over and drop down.

Nothing wrong with training guys in their mid 20's. That's like all I do. Imo, it's mandatory if you want to field a competitive team.

But training guards huh? Is the Great 8 going to ditch it's traditional Inside ways?
