I don't think that's the reason.

Last season several league champions had already complained that their STH went down (Torooo lost quite a few, and some others).

I don't remeber any BB coming up to say this, but at the time it was discussed that teams taking the heaviest hit in STH were those above 4000. Perhaps someone like jbmcrock who still had a pretty big STH number, or anyone else above 4000 could come up and say how did it go this time.

What does the term 'rival' in the Overview page (under the username) indicate? That my team plays better against that team?

This is the team against which you will have 2 TV games. It doesn't imply anything about performance.

edit: That's not right.

Does it imply anything else other than you will have 2 TV games against?

edit: and why don't I see it?

For me this is not true. I've got other rival and with other team will play 2 TV games. Although it can be change (the rival name - of course).

I think that if you'll win with the team which is your rival, your fans will be very delighted. I you won't... well, we'll see.

I suspect it doesn't. You should be able to see it in your overview page, in the box with your logo. Maybe your country hasn't updated yet.

i think that "rival" shows team that are comparable to your own, maybe a bit stronger, maybe a bit weaker. one goal of the season - to win that team (of course fans should be very happy about that).
i houpe you understand what i am trying to say :D

Apparently I was wrong about the number of TV games. My next best guess is that this is the team you have played the most games with.

It definitely doesn't have anything to do with team strength.
