Solid looking pickup there - is that because we're about to play, and you thought you needed another good player? I understand that, I am fearsome.

Seriously though - undefeated, and then you picked him up - other teams would be a little concerned by that, I think...

Yes easy to say undefeated so why spend another $1.1 million on another amazing player (according to Buzzer Control Sergio is actually the best player on my team by quite a margain) well I really just wanted to get even more ready for next season and prices are just so low at the moment - this guy would have cost me double last season. So no he isn't really directed against anyone this season but I was back in the black making about 35k a week with two million in the bank, and I just wanted to lock in another division II standard guy - hopefully for next season, but also as insurance against some crippling injury to Rafael "The Devil" in the finals, so even if that happens I have another tier one big man to stare down my opponents bigs.

On a different matter, have you posted in our PL signup thread in the IV.7 forum? I can't remember. I have just gotten back from filming a rock video and am covered with blood and a bit out of it at the moment.

All star team is up and I must say I am surprised by some things. Nice that I get 3 starters but funny that Oliver who I consider my 2nd best player wasn't either a starter or a backup. Also funny that I had 4 of the 5 3rd place guys. While my bias is obvious I do think that the Great 8 does have a chance, even though on paper the Big 8 has a massive advantage in salaries.

For example as SG
Miguel Ángel Cuello (8022400) Shooting Guard Weekly salary: $ 24 404 against my Mo Ruoqing (8157511) Shooting Guard Weekly salary: $ 8 275

or at SF

Sam Clune (8158412) Small Forward Weekly salary: $ 36 424 towers over Ayasha Sulayman Ansari (4798767) Small Forward Weekly salary: $ 14 970

Overall the starting salaries are about $112 to $84, take out the Cs (including our big budget man Rafael "The Devil" Palencia) and it is $85 to $44, ouch!

On a completly different note, have a look at the front page of Australia. Who do you see leading the ENTIRE NATION in scoring? None other than the Marmots Sam.

Leaders: Points per game: 34.1 by Sam Clune

Seems funny, but earlier in the season Oliver was there when he was averaging 40+ for the first two weeks of the season.

Haha, go Clune. It does make it kind of easy, though, when you are the 1st, 2nd and 3rd option on offence.

Also, I'm surprised by how well O'Daire went in the All-Star game - rating of 10!

Anyhow... it's the game of the season up next.

The Sweaty Steamers have spent up big on a guy with a big salary. The question is - will his average of 4 fouls per game prove damaging? He gets fouled out a lot...

Raymund Restificar (6911681) Center
Owner: The Cleveland Sweaty Steamers
Weekly salary: $ 43 443
DMI: 126200
Age: 24
Height: 7'0" / 213 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: respectable

This guy looks totally amazing and I am sure he will be ripping up the league in the coming weeks. I just hope someone from the Big 8 can knock him off before I have to face him. Mind you for $1,750,000 you would want someone good. I guess the most scary thing is he still has the age and potential to be trained.

Even my best big man will have troubles with that guy.

Sergio Merino Pérez (4566209) Center
Owner: Chelsea Seagulls
Weekly salary: $ 29 980
DMI: 148100
Age: 26
Height: 6'8" / 203 cm
Potential: allstar
Game Shape: strong

Sergio is obviously not as good and he cost me $1,200,000 so I guess for the extra $500,000 you do get a bit more punch.

Hey Dudes!

No one ever posted on the forums so I never checked! Love the banter! Love the mentions my sweaty boys have been getting. TBH there, I got the mid season doldrums, I was making about 80k a week and couldnt afford any decent bigs. My tactics of letting my guards just rain threes was getting a lil predictable, so I just thought I would try and cruise for a while and save some cash and try to land a decent big man before the finals. Hence the big man purchase - Restificar! Did you see his box for his debut? Comically bad. Still, my best shooter got injured and I didnt really run any offences through him. But now that this big beasty is in there, expect me to be able to run some low post offences for once, so really you will be guessing. I love having 2 awesome shooting guards, I had 3, but my draft pick this year was randomly good so I got rid of my 6th man with some reluctance. This Hawksley kid is pretty good for an 18 year old, but I dont know whether or not to switch my training to Centre, see if I can further beastify Restificar.

Have had major injuries to my big Greek bloke, so Dudamel has been playing 48 which is funny cause he is such a cheap dud. Funnily enough, he lead the league in assists when he was starting about 2 seasons ago (until he got benched.)

GREAT to see some talk on the boards. Look forward to a bit of banter.

Great to finally hear from you. We thought you were like some sort of sweaty stinky autobot. While you have one of the worst names in all of BB (I think Loves to Spoog and The Bearded Clams come close) your team is no joke and I honestly say I hope we don't meet in the finals.

Ha! 17 and 0, I think you will be ok :)

Did you see the Marmots box score? 34 points! Man! If i was one of your fans, I would have you murdered. That would be cool if BB could have fans leaving in droves for such a blatant cash grab. I love it.

My local basketball team is called the Cleveland Steamers but that name was already registered on BB. Added sweat and have been making beautiful music ever since.

Dude. Leaving in droves? Three of my fans got to play for my team. No wonder they're still coming!

Plus, they have Sam Clune, the highest scoring player in Australia, and Barry O'Daire, up and coming Irish NT player :)

I do look forward to these playoffs, though, because there will be some great matches this season!
