But the HCA is so important (toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo important)

if you say that to ximee, I think he strangles you :p

I think the HCA is correct. It gives you an advantage, but it's possible to win away (remember the game against LOD :p). So the HCA is important but never too important.

well, I must agree with Sum, it is to important. Knowing Sonics' team, and knowing I played TIE and he didn't, the game was way to close. I should have lost with much bigger numbers.

In my feel, the HCA should be downgraded at least a little...

I feel that winning an away game now is only possible if the opponent isn't realy trying to win. If the home team REALY wants to win, I don't think the away game has much chances to win, except maybe the top 2 or 3 teams when they play the least few teams. But in a way each team should have a small chance to win an away game, even if the home team also tries to win it.

well, I took Sum by surprise with my new line-up and other surprises I prepared for him. Nothing a team can afford to do regularly...

Why I feel HCA is truly to strong is that a stronger team will often loose against a weaker team which plays at home, unless the difference is prety (even very) high. I don't think it's realistic.
okay between 2 equal teams the home team has biggest chance of winning (but yet should still be loosing a percentage of their games).
But the better team should mostly win, even on the road, if the difference between the teams is significant.
Significant, not very high.

To me it should be:
teamstrentgh
tactics
shape of players
HCA

HCA only being decisive if other factors can't be the deciding factors.

now it is, how I feel it:
HCA
player-shape
tactics
teamstrength

leading to teamstrength only tilting the balance if the difference is truly high.

ofcourse I could be horribly far off... It's just the way I feel how the importances are balanced and ranked right now.

uh?

so you mean you can see in front if a player will get injured during a game that isn't played yet??

How is that possible?

Yes absolutely. I have announced his injury before he was in red in the game.

if you modify a line-up of a futur game during a game, you will see if you will get an injury ;)

Buf of course, if you have an injury only for the playing game, you won't see him in a futur line-up.

ah, okay, I thought you saw those things before the game was even playing. Which ofcourse would be highly illogical as you still can change the line up and take out the player to be injured...

Yes I know you can see if a player will be injured after the game, while the game is being shown. This is because the game is calculated before it is shown. The 15 minutes before the game, when yuo can not change your line-up anymore, the game is calculated by the engine, the result is known before we even see the tip-off. so all injuries also occured before we see the tip-off. Then the game is shown in the viewer for everyone who wants to follow the game.

Hacking the site to change things during the last few minutes of a game thus wont work either. ;)

my game showed the importance of the PG nicely yesterday. we shot 4 for 18 somewhere in the first Q by lack of offensive flow I'm sure.

some entertaining facts from the game:

the first minute Manic attempts a shot twice and is blocked twice. After that, he keeps trying. ;)

Sammy had some rebounds and even 2 blocks, but Obira's PG never had trouble scoring over him. It took 41 minutes for Sammy to score his first goal.

Obira's men only missed 1 shot in the fist 5 minutes (or so ) of play having 8 out of 10 a little later. Nice shooting guys!

Game shape is realy important in this game too. Appart from Sammy (who had an imoprtant role as PG, okay) the other DoomBringers where prety good players today. Still no-one on the team seemed to be able to stop the Dragon-machine, especially in the first Q.

Now let's see if van Eeckhout will do a better job on thuesday. I sure hope he also gets his 48 minutes so we can try to win the cupgame. If not, we will have to put him in there and risk a loss.
Hopefully my GS of my players will be high enough to avoid a loss in any case...
Future NT managers, I hope you all realise what I am sacrifycing for you guys! ;þ
