i think this idea regarding the SF makes some sense. i do think it would difficult to have some people really buy into it with the long term foresight it needs to come through. the few that have gone through the trouble of producing elite SF already have spent 'years' to do it and been around a very long time. for somebody to buy into that now from the ground floor we wouldn't see it come to life for a while yet as well. it would be interesting to see how it goes.

i'm finding this debate far less intense and less insults and mudslinging than i can remember from the last time i ran. (HPP throw something out there! it was me and you last time i believe)

question for the other candidates. what place would you expect to achieve in the opening pool B this season? who would you see as a problem in the pool and why?

3rd. With Chile and Brasil in our group, 1st is highly unlikely, but 2nd wouldnt be with our schedule, we could use extra effort against Brasil if we really wanted 2nd, but I dont see any reason not to head into the second round with as much enthusiasm as we can. Chile and Brasil would be the only real problems, Chile is arguably the best team in BB, had Poland not had HCA I think Chile would have won the worlds last season. Brasil is a perrennial powerhouse and their current roster is strong, not sure if it is their final roster or not, but it certaintly is strong and they wont be beaten easily.

I would agree that the goal would be finishing no worse than 3rd. Brasil and Chile would be the two teams to try to pass, both have a history of winning and stacked rosters that will be tough to compete with, but I believe Brazil is beatable with a good strategy and a bit of luck. Realistically, I don't know if we have any shot at beating Chile, their team is unreal and I don't see any way we could attack them that would overcome such a gap in talent. I don't know if there are any teams in our pool that our close to our talent level though, so making sure we don't get upset by any of the teams we're expected to beat is as important if not more important than trying to upset the teams that are clear favourites against us.

A question from me to the other candidates: What do you feel might be your weaknesses as a NT manager?

My lack of experience, this is my 7th season and first in div II, so experience at higher levels of competetion is what I lack, although I believe I have enough strengths and many people to aid me that I can overcome that weakness! Keep the questions rolling! :D

i do think anything lower than 3rd would be a disappointment as well.

as for weaknesses as a NT manager. i would say as i've stated before, time is mine. i don't have unlimited time to spend studying, analyzing, communicating write ups, etc.

I'm just laying low for now and will be focusing on creating the best PG/SG the country has ever seen - and might never see again. Actually, I don't know for sure but Williams might already be the best PG the country has ever seen. But I have not kept up to date on things recently, so I don't really know.

I would also love to start developing a young SF or PF and have the money to spend. But I just am not seeing that "guy" on the market. So I may have to develop one for another country.

and you both are still forgetting about my guy bowie. he's been in the weeds for his whole career. i still train him as i'm stubborn and been training him since he was 18. i will continue to train him until he's the best guard in canada.
stavridis and williams will both tremble in fear one day at the mention of his name.
