No miracle tonight, we end our season with an heavy defeat

We tried a 2-3 zone defense which didn't stop us from being dominated under the rim
Offensively, we hesitated for a long time with the Inside Isolation, a choice that could have countered the double GDP
Looking at the final result, not sure that this would have been enough

Let's continue our good work to aim for a title at the next Africa Championship Tournament

I'm a bit surprised by the tactical choices. IMO 2-3 is the worst defense of the game. Anyway the bar was pretty high. A very nice season and a silver medal. Congrats!

I had to try something : i never used 2-3 and i knew that it was dangerous but that was the only solution to put our best offensive players on the floor + counter their inside offense. 88 points is good i think. But offensivly ...

First of our three weeks of preparation for the World Cup and a crucial one because we checked the training programs with all the managers concerned. One more time, thanks a lot to each one of you, especially DonnyTheWay, CrazyBob, boksburg, Ebene5, tmossi, Dr.T.Rex, Zwiebel, Manager ist ein Bot., Staff the Chef, JimyW ...

The current squad will not necessarily be the one who will participate to the competition but this is a good opportunity to test players and compositions. Tonight we will face Colombia, world ranked number 9 and winner of the last Americas Championship Tournament : we will once again do our best !

World Cup will start on monday and calendar is available since this morning

We will face :
- Hong Kong (WR 8) ----- Champion of Asia
- Colombia (WR 10) ----- Champion of the Americas
- Ceska Rep. (WR 15) ----- Europ semi-finalist
- France (WR 2) ---- Europ finalist
- Nederland (WR 11) ----- Europ semi-finalist

A win would be a resounding achievement and we'll go for it in every game !

South Africa | NT Season 52 (pt. 1)

Encouraging start in the World Cup despite two defeats against :
- Hong Kong (Asian champion against whom we were tied at half-time) = 95/114
- Colombia (Champion of the Americas against whom we lost only by 9 at a higher attitude) = 126/135

Our goal of getting one victory will be very difficult to achieve, however we will not give up as usual

Concerning the current roster, we have had to do without Umi Mji (one of our best inside player) since the start of season and since this week without Julius Ifeanyi (we kicked him out of the roster) due to catastrophic weekly stats. They joined Lebohang Mbata who has also been useless since the start of last season despite our many bb-mails. We shouldn't see them with the national jersey anymore.

We now prefer to focus on Kopano Mase and Ayize Mini to give them experience for the next African championship for which they should have a major role. A huge thanks to their owners who are following our advices each weeks. One more time, a huge thanks to JimyW too for the training of Umi Mugabe who will be part of the adventure next season for sure. We are catching up on SF / C positions !

We were also happy to see DonnyTheWay bought Kasiya Mbazia to bring him home : the process continues
