That's kind of why I hinted at no 'real' training program. I was training my older bigs in sf/pf driving and JS. It either really sucks for mid-late twenty yo or they were so close to the skill cap, that side skills wouldn't increase either. So I basically wasted this season's of training getting almost no skill pops. I'm go to go in the completely opposite direction and do one position training with the pg and jr option....of course, my dudes are still well past there teenage glory days.... Hopefully this works out or I might have to start over and drop down.

Nothing wrong with training guys in their mid 20's. That's like all I do. Imo, it's mandatory if you want to field a competitive team.

But training guards huh? Is the Great 8 going to ditch it's traditional Inside ways?

Speaking of training...has anyone in this league ever gotten one of these new Cross Training pops yet? It's been a big bust for my guys so far.

I got one on a draftee while training stamina the week cross-training was released. I've yet to have one on a normal trainee.

We think alike, from wanting the #5 seed down to the training... I'm re-focusing a little bit, just got 10 years younger at SG and he'll complement my odd "big men" in the long run. I don't expect to improve a lot next season in terms of record, but the future will be exciting, so I guess it's a semi-"rebuild"...

regarding x-training I had a couple pops that I guess qualify, I'm guessing subs are raising higher than ever before though, the salary update will be very interesting. My forward Thornton has improved a great deal in performance, more so than he has in visible build. I suspect that his subs have gone up by a lot and I'm not seeing it.

Dragons vs. Machines

This is a matchup of the two best teams in the Big 8 by quite a bit and throughout the season this matchup seemed inevitable. Interestingly enough the road team has won both games so far in this season's series, but I'm not so sure that will necessary hold true this time around. The Dragons are coming off of a PON while the Machines are coming off of a PCT, so that will help neutralize the effect of HCA. Ultimately, I think this game will be a coin toss that either one can win. It very well could come down to fouls or untimely injuries to decide who wins this game. I will give the ultimate edge to the Machince given the Dragons fouling tendencies as well as untimely injury tendency (most notably last season in playoffs vs. Wiggles).

Machines + 8

Bullish vs. Riverdogs

This is a rematch of last season's QF matchup in which Bullish won on the road with less effort. What was quite a surpising results at the time has become more understandable as Bullish as continued with their success into this season. Bullish definitely will be capable to win this game. This is a classic matchup of one team that can do multiple things well vs. another team that can do one thing really really well. The home team as won both matchups of these teams this season, but again, I wouldn't be too surprised if Bullish was able to buck that trend, especially given last season's playoff results. In the end though, I think that the Riverdogs guards will end up beating Bullish bigs in another close and exciting game.

Riverdogs + 6

So, you predict Pappy promoting?

I think whether your or I win, either of us are good enough to promote, it will be more difficult without HCA though. But yes, if I had to predict someone though, I guess I would predict Pappy simply because of HCA.

Regardless of which one of us makes it to the finals, what's the odds on either of us forsaking training enough to win the best of three? And even if we did forsake it, do you really believe either of us could beat either of them twice, once being on the road?
