Okay. So I more or less picked the preliminary team for the World Cup. The team is composed of most of the players we had last year, so we should more or less be familiar of who they are and what they could do on the court. This is the BEST team we've had so far so I'm hoping for more wins and improve our world ranking. Too bad some of the good guards graduated already.

Please bear in mind that I will be calling up more players as the season progress, so don't worry much. We cannot include all 18 players all at once, because that would mean that we would have no more space when adding up new players. Dropping players may include a drop in enthusiasm, and we do not want that.

I have scouted the 19-21 yo and will be updating the database sometime before Sunday. I have LOTS of parties to attend to, so sorry if I cannot do it earlier. In the case of the 18yo, please update our BBStats page for the IV and V leaguers so we can scout the players better.

Regarding the staff, they would be posting our tactics on our database anytime during FRIDAY or SATURDAY, with both defensive and offensive tactics, plus the effort. I will finalize the lineup anytime before the Monday matches. They will also be responsible for updating the skills of the players on the database plus will be recommending players to be called up into the team. And finally, mentoring the new managers on how to train their superstars.

Please please be online during matches, and click match chat. Matches are held every Monday, at 7pm. Some of the good managers are on chat including the staff, so you can ask them for advice regarding your team, love life, or whatever.

For the next three weeks, we will be having scrimmages only. Coz we're so magaling to instantly qualify kasi. :p

Oh, and goodluck to cezzz16 and Art Colongan for the elections! Both of them are actively helping the National Team and the U21 so I think they'll both succeed as National Team Managers if ever.

Here is the list of the people who can be a part of the team. Just like last season, I will be enrolling them in the team once the season progresses. List will not be in particular order.

PF/C

1. Jose Montano (8207303) - Big man who can shoot. He will be crucial in some of the games. Consistent good Game shape, as usual is key to call up here.

2. Syril Samson (8207402) - Has the most well-rounded skills among the big men. Is part of the NT at the moment, but the manager will release him once we need his services for the team.

3. Almario Baclao (8210977) - Close to Montano with his skills. Again, it depends on game shape and how they pop up in their skills throughout the season.

PG/SG

1. Emmet Dasilao (8207459) - He actually was part of the team last season, but failed to grow. The new manager is training him, and hopefully he can develop the that he should have. JS is lacking, but that is already being addressed at the moment.

2. Fausto Lemos (8209459) - Good skills, I was so close in calling him up at the start of the season. The most well-rounded player in terms of guard skills. Injuries to the main team, or consistent good form may see him in the team soon.

3. Cris Mata (8207089) - Will be a good shooting guard for the future. OD is still short, but otherwise a good player. Low potential sets him back a bit.

Last season, we had very good guards, dividing playing time was very hard and I opted to choose to play those who I think will be in the team this season. This time around, we have very very good Big Guys. Ejercito and Saballe have sure spots, but the other spots depend on their game shape and how they progress in the course of the season.

I think the team is progressing just fine, but I think we are lacking in terms of scouting and guiding the owners of the 18 year olds. I think that we need to monitor and mentor every single one who has potential of making it into the team in the future. Enthusiasm is not reset still, therefore, we need to find those who are in teams who are going bot, and enroll them into the team until they're sold. I lacked in this aspect this season, hopefully we can improve on this one.


In other news, we beat France. (8924). Game was delayed several hours, but is worth it. Probably won't mean much, but they are ranked 3rd in the rankings, which can only be a good thing. We played well, despite the wrong tactics, which partly was due to home advantage. Reodica played well as he led the team in scoring. Savella too, with his 7 assists.
