Most times in a season for playing a team in the cup & then the very next league game? (So, same opponent in the Thursday cup game, & Saturday league game)


I'm going to be at 3...

Vs. Silverbacks in the cup, 7/5: (48891401), league, 7/7: (46052915)
Vs. Lake Merritt Arrows in the cup, 7/19: (48902985), league, 7/21: (46052951)
Vs. Visionaries in the cup, 8/2: [not played yet], league, 8/4: [not played yet]


The odds are really slim of getting your Saturday opponent.... Let alone more than once!! Of course, maybe it's less uncommon in smaller countries? (In the USA, it's uncommon even drawing an NBBA team in general! Of the 3 other remaining cup teams, only the Visionaries have even played a single NBBA team in the cup up to this point.)


[That's a brutal schedule too! Silverbacks are ranked 3rd in the country / top 100 world. Lake Merritt Arrows are #1 USA (obviously also top 100 world). And the Visionaries might even have a better team than either of them at the moment!!]

i had some luck this season as played cup game just after the league game with panevezio irmus:D

3 times, seasons 17-19, by player fazekam78 and his team MrWinless, in league V72.

had the kind of team that could have made it 4 with some bad luck on the injury roulette, but the team went bot earlier this season, which is also why I feel no guilt in posting about it

On a related note, there's one of the coaches that took MrWinless out, the season 17 V72 champions, Tangosz of the Njords Hakarl... how's it feel to have assisted another coach in achieving this?

Well, pretty sweet actually. Especially considering I was happy to share what I learned with everyone. I chronicled my team progress and plans on the USA offsite in detail, and he could have been the one to take that advice to heart. Instead Knoxville Eagles did, and they promoted as well (sadly, they've gone bot now too, but not after a solid first season in D4)

...if knoxville's gone bot, that means you're the only V72 champ since season 12 to still be active... and I'm not surprised, there's like 5 teams here (in v72) that were around at the start of the last playoffs... these guys havent stuck around long at all since I got here...
