Uhm... my "congrats to Heathens" post from yesterday now has disappeared. I'll make it short so it doesn't duplicate it, if it reappears: Congrats to Heathens! Amazing season.

Also: we have two home court upsets from d.II. Deronimo lost II.2 and Technical Fouls upset I'll Replace you with Machines in a game that is reported to have been incredibly bizarre (not able to open it right now).

Congrats to all promotees: may the Bruins end up on the other side!

Yep, I will easily be the worst team to ever play a nbba game. I sold off almost all my guys just before the playoffs to save money. I bought a few to have a 'hopefully get by in d2' type team as I rebuilt and got younger and cheaper. Of course, every single break possible went my way during the playoffs. Upsets gave me home court in round 2 which allowed me to sneak into the finals.

Machines was basically assured a win and played trainees for 48 mins. For the finals series, I had 6 players with greater then 4k salary, with one of those my 'starting' sg making 7.5k (no, those numbers are not mis-types). Game 3 rolls around. Machines 48 min trainee SG is injured in the first quarter, so he has back-up PF and C playing SG with run and gun. Then his center (and almost league MVP) gets ejected in the 4th for his second flagrant foul. He had only one back-up at that point while giving big minutes to his back up bigs at C and SG. It starting getting real ugly for him. Then, he started hitting 3s. I Have decent FT shooters and ended up winning.

999 times out of 1000 I lose that game. Hell, based on my transfer history you can easily tell I didn't think I would make it out of round one of the playoffs.

Wherever I end up, the other 7 get a pretty easy TIE twice a season.

That said, I thought I would make it to ML in hattrick before NBBA here and I don't plan on rolling over. I don't have a chance, but that's what I thought the past few weeks too.....

Thanks. It looks like it was an exciting game for the first 3 quarters. I wish I had seen it.

Just so everyone knows, that there was my final season with the Heathens. I've sold my NT players, fired most of the rest, and will let the coach decide what to do from here out. Hopefully that will mean that everyone beats me this year, and not just the ones who play me after the team goes bot.

It's been a lot of fun playing with all of you. Don't be surprised if you see a Heathens II somewhere down the road.
