Approximately what age do the more experienced managers quit training a player? Assuming you were going to keep the player into his 30's, maybe until retirement, and assuming you have room in your training program, at what age do you feel its just no longer worth it to train that player? I usually give up around 28-30, but sometimes I wonder if I should have quit sooner or either trained longer. Thanks!

I jus came back from a 14 season hiatus but before If i was training, it would depend on his potential - at a certain point he can no longer improve as his potential is maxed out. As I just came back am unsure where you can find the tool that will let you know (approximately) if a player is maxed out.

Is this till applicable?

Well, it's completely up to you. There can be many reasons to give up on training someone.

Most of them come from your own objectives. If you're training an NT player, you'll have to train him at least to age 25. Then you'll choose wether it's fun for you to wait 6 weeks for a pop in a certain skill. If it is, you'll train till he caps - then you'll have to consider if you want to wait 12+ weeks for a single pop. And if you find it being too long of a wait, you start a new project. Same goes with trainees you want to reach Div 1 with.

Some people train only for U21. So they train, and sell the trainees at the age of 21. It's a rather profitable way of training.

In general, to evaluate if you should or should not continue with a certain player, I'd think about:

1) if a season of training will up his value more than selling him at a younger age
2) if waiting 6 weeks makes it feel worth for you. If you like the player he's become and you still want to make him better (while he can win you divisions), you keep him. If he cant carry you or it's not as fun anymore, you dump it.
3) sometimes salary is an important factor.

I'd like to add to your answer, that you shouldn't fully believe in what the caps (or the salaries) say there, since they're not 100% accurate. But it's an amazing guidline.

I am planning to get supporter and a 2nd team.

With a few days remaining in the current season, when would be the best time to get that 2nd team? Would it be after the last league game this Saturday?

I know I will be too late to get scouting points for the draft as well. So should I do it after the draft?

Kind of depends on your stamina, players with stamina 1 can reach gs9 by playing 48 minutes. With stamina 3 I was already struggling to reach 9 after 78ish minutes (level6 psychologist too!).

But in general I'd try keeping your minutes in the range of 63-75. This has worked well enough for me. I would also recommend buying a psychologist if you were to be competetive in the league and play for the win. It's a massive gamechanger.
