You're really wrong,high rebounding yet have a great influence in old GE,because they increase the ability of the whole team in rebounding increasong the probability of the team to take more rebounds,the problem was that distribuction was not related to the confront 1 vs 1 between the opposite players in the same role.I'm disadvantaged from this new system,but i admit that it is more realistic than the previous
About SB you are making a your campaign(i reall'y don't understand why),but Sb cannot became instantly a very important skill,while is importance is low yet in real game and also in all the previous version of GE

it has, but it doesn't make a big deal if a player have reb 11 or 14 ;) Thats a think which was changed, in taking absolute different instead of relativ different into account. So this raise wasn't very usefull and much less useless then a raise from 7 to 10.

In this system instead relative difference between players is more important than absolute difference.The difference between a player with level 11 and level 14 in rebounds is less than the difference between a player with 1 and a player with 4,so also if the main part of the rebounds are taken form big mans,in the part of rebounds reserved to frontcourt there will be great differences however,the difference in number of rebounds in the frontcourt can be compensated by a superiority in the backcourt in this skill

hey it is your problem that things are changed, now it becomes much more reasonable to have better rebounders ?

They crap if player buy to high rebounding, why the others should get punished who didn't do it?

And blocking is an bigger issue in relevances, when it comes to effectniss then rebounding.

If i have a rebounder under the standard of my league it's a mine problem in construction fo the team,not a problem of the game
And if a team it's able to substain a rebounder stronger than the others,congratulations to him
If you hace chosen to train SB instead of rebounding or inside shot or inside defence,you don't understand nothing of the game,this is the problem
It was an error of BBs to insert the SB skill,because Sb ability could be as "stealing" ability,because steals and blocks are not a good way to estabilish the defence of a player

yeah you are right it was wrong to implement it, especially that way ;)

But soorry i can not follow your logic, is it ok to make skills stronger but not shot blocking? Wasn't it a failure to to go for "to much" rebounding? Isn't that also a cbad cost benefit decision, why they should change it and blocking can not mak'in stronger?

Blocking was very misleading skill, in taking him into the game you could imagine that it makes "sense", the interpretation that sb contributes to inside defence isn't toatl unlogical exspecially becuase it have very low effect on the number of blocks(i saw many blocking 7 guys who dominate in this area, where as better guys stay below one with rebound that isn't that drastic). Then many newbie guides and at least old forum post cshows the way that blocking was important. That you could train it only for big guys might also lead to the point that it was important for them, in game i would say it makes more sene with guards or sf because they block pretty often and it don't cost money(mayn they block less with the new GE, but if this the opnly improvement it will be better if they had deleting this skill completly).

Also i don't think that you must be stupid to think blocking has his importance, normally you get the tipp at the beginning to rate player for salary, blocking ain't unimportant with that. In thre rules you get no hint that it was useless. You need to have many different centers to figure it out with your own games that it don't count into ID like the rating might mislead you. So normally the guys without massive acces to the forum thing that it was important, so you and me are lucky but it makes the game and unfriendly for beginners.

They also make very big chanche in the strategy, which opunish people who play long term, and gives bonus for the short term planning guys - but in general if this avoid the farming problem i would say the change is good ;) The same think goes to blocking, to make it more important would make the game more fair, and lot better for beginners or at least they should mention it in the rules. Blocking skills just affect the amount the effect of blocks and raise the salary where much for a low effect, be aware of training it ;) Because the rules are on think you should read and know, instead of the forum which are optional.

i must admit that I am having trouble following the discussion at this point.

BBs have thouhght that SB was too useless,they make some changes in the new Ge about it,but the problem is that this skill havn't any sense,so if you want to have a sort of realistic game,it cannot have much more weight
And shotblocking doesn't have sense for SF,because an average level of this skill "trasnform" them in PF,so having an higher salary
And what about the newbies,the base fo a community is to share the information about the game,in Italy we create another guide beside the rules to share what the great part of community learn about this game,and if a newbie ask some question without reading the rules,we reccomend to read it
That's maybe why Italian is the stronger community,together with the Spanish,of BB,as TV contract clearly say ;D
