well high salaries do mean some, because normally a player with a higher salary will either be better or worse by just a bit

A guard with
10/10/18/10/10/13 7/4/1/4

Is only around 40K

A guard with
16/13/14/12/11/13 2/5/6/4

Is around 76K

A 36K difference, but which would I take? The 40K can probably stop the 76K because of its OD.
Salaries for guards are also raised with rebounding. Guards with same guard skills will have the same salary, but if one had rebounding, it will raise his salary by a lot. Same guard skills but paying different salaries. Rebounding would be nice on a guard, but not needed.

A C/PF with
11/11/4/8/7/6 11/17/17/4

Is only around 87K even with that double 17 on ID/RB

A C/PF with
5/4/2/5/5/6 17/17/17/4

Is around 181K

About a 100K difference, and which one would I take? Obv the 85K one. The ID will be okay against a guy with 17 IS. His 11 JS and 11 JR will usually beat the center because of the 2 OD. So what if the first one can't score inside against the other, he can score outside.

If you don't understand where I am leading to, its just that a high salary guy can still be stopped by a guy that has a lower salary than him.
Now to make it more convincing, lets use guys around our salaries/ i.e. 15K-50K

A guard:
13/11/14/11/12/8 5/2/1/4

Is around 30K

A guard:
14/12/13/10/10/6 5/2/5/4

Is around 44K

A difference of 14K, but the 30K guard would be great for me going against that 44K guy.

Now am I saying we have these types of players in this league? Nope. But I'm just giving you examples that high salaries do not mean better. Sometimes it is and sometimes it is not.

Oh and also, lets say
a 5K guard looked like this
13/7/10/12/12/4 3/2/1/3
Impossible you say? Well he may have received some training in the year, of course that isn't the case here(maybe) since its only the beginning(kinda) of the season.

i think i might be needing to blow up my team and rebuild. somehow this season i have done much worse than the past few seasons even though I've (i thought) improved my team a ton.

I am actually very sad. You 2-3'd every other team but me. Is there something wrong with me? :c

Great 8 Standings after 1st Round of Games:
I'm doing this because I am bored.

8th: SA Hitch-a-naters
After getting his first win against the Bunny Humpers(...) with a CT vs a TIE, the Hitch-a-naters have gone downhill as they have lost 6 straight(!). Even with a huge buying of PG Leonardo Lavelli, his bad GS management has brought his players to shame. Looks like this team will be auto-relegating, sorry! Still his respectable outside shooting and okay offensive flow might surprise some teams so don't go all "Ima play my scrubs against this guy."

7th: Greenwood Inferno
One of the teams still representing us in Cup, idk how, but he is the only team to beat the top seed Conejito. Well...I mean it's not like Conejito played his A-team, ohwells. This team has 2 high salary guards with, again, bad GS. Until these teams learn how to manage GS, I expect nothing more from their current record.

6th: The Great White Sharks
A very balanced team, shown by his ratings and his players as his starting line up all have similar salaries. However this is another team suffering from poor GS management. Has not bought a player in 3 months, so he must have some money stored. Watch out for this team, as the manager may go on a shopping spree near playoff time.

5th: Kansas City Tigers
5th place...what? This team was actually believed by me as one of the better teams in this league, well looking at salary of course. His team is stacked with all starters over 15K(or close to...) and of course the amazing Domingo Haitze, the top scorer of this league shooting over 50% from the floor and 47% from downtown! However recent comments from this manager, seems like his team will soon be "exploded". Even with 3-4 record all 4 loses have come from spots 1-4.

4th: Bunny Humpers
The best team in this league obviously...just kidding...BH already sold 3/5 starters from their undefeated season in D5 last year and have bought 3 new guys to fill those spots up. With the overpayed Raymond Goldsmith and two old guys with similar salaries as the two they replaced can BH keep his 4th place spot? His trainees Cliff Pringle, Romain Berard, and Choy Soon Jung are being retarded this year as they have been popping very slowly.

3rd: Chicago Storm
Now you may be wondering how this low salaried team is actually in the top 4. Well this low salaried team actually puts up amazing ratings. With his above average outside d and inside d, this team will stop any type of attack. The Storm's awkward choice of offensive is working and his GS management is okay as well. However beating everyone but the rest of the top 4, is questionable.

2nd: Slatington Serpents
Starting the season with a 250K player salary(!), this team was predicted to just go undefeated and leave everybody in the dust as the Serpents would go back to D3. However selling 2 guys from this team, have lowered their chance of winning the championships. His super bigs are very scary and we already know the skills of one of them. It is not like they can only score inside, but their JS/JR will expose opponents' low OD PF/C's. Lets keep a look out on this team however, as they also have a lot of money in the bank with their recent sales.

1st: Conejito
Was I surprised with this team? Yes! Maybe because the Serpents distracted me, but this team totally went under my radar. With his self-trained guards, this team is very scary. His guards disrupt any inside pass, causing LI teams to suffer, while also affecting any outside shooting teams. His great offensive flow allows little to no turnovers. And it is not like he has a weakness with his bigs either. They have decent salaries to make me believe that they are perfect for his type of playing style. Wait what, he plays LI? Even with his amazing guards? Something tells me, he is trying to trick us and he may magically pull out the RNG/Motion, so don't 2-3 zone this team...
