Alright, my 2 cents on the "level" debate is that it's not about the league they are in, but the experience playing the game( ever heard the quote "If you want to know the road ahead, ask someone who has traveled it"?)

My advice to OP would be to sell. People go bananas over 18 HOF all the time, and you will likely be able to turn the money you get from him into quick success down the road if you manage shrewdly. You could attempt training him, but I know when I started that training was quite confusing, plus it's never a sure thing, while the money you get from selling him will be a sure thing.

There are many friendly and talkative people that offer advise on these forums, but everyone who has a IV. something, V.something, or IV.something under their team's name means that they have no credibility (outside of the very very very rare instance where a team has purposely relegated after a long run in division II)

I'm from division II. But I'm from a micronation, so I'm actually from the second last division, that would make it a div IV. I guess I don't really have much credibility ='(

Nah, your lucky! Apparently, everyone should listen to people from your nation because they're all D.III and above! They all must know what they're talking about!

another opinion & i think mine is worth listening to

sorry to all the other peeps but i only read about half this thread

why am i worth lisening to? lol well really im not but i am in the same country & in the top division & the youngest team in the top division & never had a losing season so im doing something right :)

u got 2 clear options

1) win now
sell him - for a lot $300k lol, more like @ least double that maybe a million
use 1/2 2 build ur arena, 1/4 2 get 3 decent trainees & a trainer & 1/4 to get some old & good players
this is really hard 4 a new player 2 do & lots of peeps make huge mistakes cause some things in the game are upside down like great players are cheap to buy but expensive to keep
if u do this u will win d4 this season go to d3 with a good team and be able 2 compete there next season right away, if u can advance from there it will be up 2 u

2) win later
keep him - get a great trainer he deserves it @ least a l4 w fitness or better a l5 or 6 but BE CAREFUL about the costs
get 2 more trainees & train them as well
get a couple of super old guys u can get not bad 34-35 year olds for basically nothing that will win u games in d4 & if u train well & play well u can promote this season anyway - DONT TRY TO DO THIS UNTIL U GET ADVICE
then keep training him, with that potential u can make him the sort of player that can take u to the abbl & 1 day he can be the abbl mvp & on the aussie nt
doesnt that sound cool?

both r good options really but here is my opinion

dude u have lebron in ur lap who will never do a "decision" & u r thinking of selling him to build ur arena?
really?????
sell him & u can win d4 this season easily, then what?
keep him & u may not win d4 this season but one day he will take ur team 2 the abbl
& ignore peeps that say u cant afford him, if u train him properly as a sf his salary will always be affordable u will just need good advice later so u dont let his JS or RE get too high but it takes a long time 2 train a sf & their salaries are always really low

the best aussie sf in the world wazza (6863683) only has a $84k salary, u can afford that in d3, easily in d2 & he will pay for himself week after week by giving u far more than u pay him

& what will be more fun? looking at a big arena? or having ur guy on the aussie u21 team, nt team, winning mvps & becoming one of the best players in the world?

no brainer

dude he is in d4 how will he buy a lev 6-7 trainer?

ive got a lev 6 but telling a new team 2 try & buy a lev 6-7 is bad advice

iwen ex-aus u21 coach trained this player Eugenio Dell'Asta (10058043) using a lev 4 trainer for the first few seasons

natch lev 6-7 is better but it is like 4% not worth the cost 2 a d4 team, just 48+ every single week single pos is much more important
