Sorry Australia. I was bidding against a Chinese team for a great Aussie HoFer but I wasn't available when the auction ended. I bid up to $800,000 which was double the top of the TPE of $120,000 to $400,000 but couldn't hang around. They put in one more bid for $816,000. This is a very special Chinese team. They have never bought a player before. They have only ever sold one and that was for $2,000. How a team makes their first ever purchase a $816,000 rookie is beyond me. I fear it is yet another Chinese sabotage team which only exists to vandalise other NTs. Hopefully I am wrong and they will give the same 48+ every week with a level six trainer that I would have given. Maybe even better if they do a lot of inside training, but it may be the last we ever hear of him.

I blame this on Zazz for being selfish and selling him! Why doesn't she think of the wider aus community haha.

Btw wonder if this means she's making a run from div4 to abbl again?

Nah I'll probably unintentionally promote back to Div3 and chill there for a while. He didn't fit my training plans so it was a waste for him to be on my team.

In what was to be a difficult start to Australia's World Championship Series the team managed to pull out a win due to some late additions and some Wily tactics by the Coach and his Assistant. We caught up with the most experienced player on the team in David Burbery;
"David, some acknowledge you as the leader in the team, the veteran if you will. Do you find this creates more pressure for yourself or does it not effect you?"
"I'd say the pressure I put on myself to perform outweighs the pressure the team creates for me. I know I'm the most experienced on the team so I just try to set a good example by playing the best I can."
"Well said. The Coach has described you as the "King" of our offense, in reference to Shogi the Japanese style of Chess. It must be quite a feeling to be acknowledge by not only your peers but the Coaching staff as well."
"What can I say, it's an honour. I was part of the Season 20 squad when we came runner up in the Asian Championship so I know the Coaching staff are top notch."
"Great to hear, I have one last question. You played great this morning with 24 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists to help the team to a 6 point victory. Is there anyone else you can attribute this win to?
"This was definitely a team effort, morale was running a little low after the thrashing we took in the 1st quarter but the bucket by Arciozzi in the first play put us back on our feet.

"Well there you have it, a great win from a great squad this season. We wish the U21 team all the best!
