I made a grammar error. I do work alone.

Fwinns misspelled speech. Which proves that nobody is perfect.

this whole debate has been "look at what I have done compared to the others." Which is odd, I don't care how whatever you have done looks compared to what the other guy has done. A 2/10 is better than a 1/10, but it's still a 2/10.

Just talk about yourself, explain why you're a good candidate regardless of who is running, prove yourself, don't bring others down this isnt the election for a new prime minister.

English isn't even my native language (french is), to be honest I'm surprised there aren't more mistakes than that

And I know it's a bit boring or too much down to Earth, but I don't think either of us (even the ones not participating in the election) can drastically change the outcome of 2 seasons of U21. Experience doesn't help, all we can do is avoid stupid mistakes like not setting a lineup, and try to get as much managers involved. As long as someone is training a player, be it for the nt or u22, it's fine by me, there's not much more we can do at this point. 10-15 really active managers can't make a 21yo team each year, there's not enough training room for that. The situation is a bit different with the NT where a player can play 5-8 years for the team, instead of just one.
We will never have the large pool of players of large nations such as spain or the USA, it's not just smart/bold tactics at this point.

First of all, welcome back (g)

I have the same feeling what you had pointed out "look at what I have done compared to the others."

I really don't care about how good of the canadiate, coz almost on one else say a word over the forum, and I don't know how much satisfaction you have under this death situation. But if the one who got this job, could invite the runners up (even more) as part of the telligent group, share more responsibilities and thought over the on/off site forum with new blood. Keep the forums active, conduct the fun, happiness to each candidates who lost, could be a tremendous achievements over you could take the U21 title.

Everyone has rich or soft spot, mention what you have rather than assault others.

Second Team:
Canada Purple Haze BC
Got to agree with Fwinns
tough job indeed that will go unrewarded to whomever ends up managing U21
Getting managers to listen to training and/or game shape advice is near impossible
and we have no room for error.
As he was getting at, much easier to train 1 team of veteran players that changes a little
instead of a new team of 21 year olds season after season especially with dwindling participation
good luck to all of you

These are my questions (could be an idea)

1.How could you remain the passion/interest of those candidates who lost the election? (to avoid some managers may have hard feeling and leave BB after)

2.How could you keep this forum more active? (you try to do it by yourself)

I don't think we are that daft :P I lost quite a few elections, it didn't stop me from training my players, one of which has probably the 2nd highest number of skill points in canadian players ;)
None of my trainees made it to the u21 team btw. Training is not just for NT/U21, it's also a great asset for the team so I don't think any of us will lose interest. As a matter of fact the 3 of us did lose the last U21 election...! And 2 of us lost the one before that ;)
As for keeping the forums active, there's not much we can do. The offsite is dead, even for the NT, I think maybe 4 or 5 people go there once every 3 months, so we need to use these forums. GM did pop updates, that's fine, but there was no strategy discussion. I do have something in mind but I don't want to disclose too much because other nations could read it and it would render it useless.
Anyone that wants to know what is my idea can contact me via bb-mail (yes even Sparky and Cletus!)

Fwinns is right. All of the runners in this election are very interested in BB, and we all have BB goals for our teams.

2.How could you keep this forum more active? (you try to do it by yourself)

A couple seasons back, I did a predictions contest for Naismith. (249793.1)
I also made many threads about DIII. (248699.1)
Remember those threads about the Kumiko cup.(252642.1)

None of them exist anymore.
They were all popular.
Somebody should start those threads up.
I could.
Then we could spread the word to those managers about the offsite.

1. I have lost U21 elections by close margins before. My shoulders are sore from shrugging it off so well. It's Canada's loss, my gain, as I can then focus on my own team, which continues to over-perform. (bottom quarter of league salary yet top half of standings even with training #1 goal, arena #2 goal) Which leads to a good point: beating better teams on paper with worse players. I can do it.

2. More regular updates on results, players, training, managers who are buying into a U21 grassroots plan for the future of our less than stellar team.
