If there is no Utopia nationality, there is no merchandising to gain and it is a lot more money to lose than few NT players

Utopia teams compete against Utopia teams. Therefore there's no loss or gain overall in the lack of merchandising for removing (a non existent) utopia nationality.

How much can you really take away from them? Most money would come from homegrown NT players, as those can't exist, I doubt it would be a huge dent in income for those few teams.

Have you compared a team that has many own drafted players and players from its own nation to a team with players from random nations? The difference is pretty big. Or would you be OK if they just randomly removed say 40k from your weekly incomes just because how much can it really do?


Dude if I made 40k in merch I would be the happiest guy on earth. So we are just talking about saving the top teams once again?

Well some teams depend more on Utopia players then other teams. If you remove this don't you think the once that have built a team of Utopia players will suffer as you take away a lot of money from them?

I think that's irrelevant. Varying amounts don't really alter what I said about Utopia teams competing with other Utopia teams.

And lets not pretend that teams suffering as you put it has ever been a consideration in rule changes.

I have a very bad D.2 team that is sitting on the salary floor. And I'm making a bit over 20k more then league average. I suppose that if I would have had decent players and been competitive I would have made a lot more. 40k was just a random.number. But if we're looking at lower level even 15k is much to remove.


Maybe 15k is not enough to remove, looking at the inflated market we need to find ways to cut income anyways. And as Utopia was never intended to take part in the rest of BB it does not matter a lot. Also teams sitting on the salary floor need to be punished anyways - Perpete even suggested to raise the salary floor.

As long as it is announced long enough in advance, so that teams can adapt to a change I don't see a problem.

As teams in micronations or as teams sharing the same players' pool, I think Utopia is part of the BB world as much as Brazil is in the same world as Latvia.

Brazil and Latvia have NTs; Utopia does not. So Utopia is not quite as much a part of BB as real world countries. I think without realising it, you've just stated a case for a Utopia NT and I just can't agree.
