This has an easy solution.

Make a "caution: this player will soon have his birthday" advice during those days.
Similar to the "this player won't be able to play the playoffs" advice.

Sure wish I could have gotten my money back, but I’m glad to know that this can’t happen again. I think the solution that they came up with is a 100% fix, and I appreciate it.
