Yeah, I kind of think Uni played themselves into a tougher relegation series...

I certainly think so...

Congrats! My best achievement of the day was predicting (in a BBmail with Stogey) that UHR was going to tank and hence that BMG should TIE. Luckily wozz didn't predict this

wozz forgot to set his lineup on christmas, so all things considered, I'm pretty happy with how it worked out.

Whereas my training doesn't need the extra game his does, we agreed he would not select the player I am targeting and I had a legitimate chance to beat him on the road with his guard squad depleted.

He also has no pressure now to quickly replace that guard.

It wasn't so odd really, neither one of us believed we really had a chance against your unsustainable roster so we just did what worked best for both of us.

Yeah... not too pleased with how that turned out. It's the risk I took by tanking though. If only Ice had beaten Bruins...

On the plus side, I get the 4th non-bot pick in the draft now.

Are draft picks really that valuable -- I had only a couple in 12 seasons worth much of anything.

Yes...that game against Ice Storm turned out to the critical one. I had considered playing normal -- but I couldn't risk it if I lose or if Uni hadn't won.

honestly, the value is the eye of the beholder. Training up a young player to a badass is one of my favorite things to do in this game even more than winning and I have yet to be able to land a good enough draftee to be able to do that with one. I cranked out a couple of national team members and even one NBBA MVP but I didn't draft them.

I agree: the tamagotchi-like ((http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tamagotchi)) aspect of training is so gripping. I sometimes feel insane because of how proud I am of my training or how upset I am about training mistakes...

My little sister loved Tamagotchis! £4 from the indoor market. Easy xmas presents.
