Wait a sec, so if Sid uses PO Normal and akuma uses PO CT... Would akuma be able to overcome sid's HCA and sneak a win?

you'd think that sid's enthusiasm advantage and HCA would allow him to overcome the effort level.

...correct...

...Sid will win the next 2 in a row...

...sorry, Akuma...my prediction.

Lets think about this logically.

G1 - You know its Tuesday to Saturday between games, then a Sunday G3 - PON-ing G1isnt that much of a benefit as nmost people think - because there is a long break between G1 and G2 that the enthusiasm will trend back to 5. So Tie-ing this game doesn't bring as much benefit as what most people believe. THats why in regular season - TIE-ing the saturday game gives more benefit for the Tuesday game, compared to TIE-ing the Tuesday game for Saturday.

G2 - Sid can't risk playing POCT in this game, he essentially forfiets G3 by playing POCT in this game. This is the advantage that TAK has - TAK can do what he pleases in this game, because he knows he has the advantage in G3. maybe Akuma knows this as well, and will POCT G2, thereby winning in 2 games. ooooooooooo. I did this when i promoted

G3a - Assuming both teams PON'd G2, both walk onto Akuma's home court, with boosted enthusiasm from the previous day's game. Sid will have that little bit extra from the G1 - will it be enough to counter the HCA AND that Akuma has a better team? IMO - no.

G3b - lets say Sid AND TAK both POCT G2, and Sid wins. they will still walk into G3 with the same comparitive enthusiasm level - Thern the same scenario occurs as G2 - TAK has HCA and a better team and Sid will not be able to compete. THIS is why TAK has the advantage.

G3c - Sid PON'd G2 and TAK POCT'd and LOST - i dont think this will happen. Thats why TAK has the benefit of being able to POCT G2 and even if Sid POCT's as well, he doesn;'t lose much. Sid PON's G2 and TAK POCT G2 = TAK win.

I think Sid knows all the above and is banking on TAK PONing G2 - take the easy win, bank the enthusiasm and somehow try to win on TAK's home court in G3

THere may be one significant difference and that will be the game shape update on Friday - i will be VERY interested to see this.

I recall him posting in a thread two seasons ago that he'd saved a few million. I believe he has $6.5 mil. What I have continued to puzzle over, however, is why he has not used this cash to rise towards ABBL glory?

Yeah I think I was talking in the III.12 forums about having maybe close to $4mil.
So I've banked about $2.5million this season... I think.. I could be forgetting something. But I was making $250k a week until I bought the big guy.

Look, mate, you've done well financially and when you decide to make a move you will no doubt have the cash to make a splash! If you are happy to hold out a little longer for the cash then why not. I look forward to seeing what you do with your cash when you make the move...

:-)

@Coach...I'll stick with my prediction despite your 'logic'... :-)

You can pretty much tell this will happen from Akuma's personality. He's a risk taker.

you'd think that sid's enthusiasm advantage and HCA would allow him to overcome the effort level.

The problems with this are:

1) Sid acquired those guys late in the season and he yet to test his quad against a strong opponent. Therefore he can't really calculate for saturday's game.

2) Since he hasn't measured up to any strong opponents, he doesn't know if PON and HCA will be enough to beat Akuma's team on PON.

And in my opinion judging from Akuma and HA's previous play off game ratings, Akuma might have enough firepower to overcome HCA even if Akuma set PON on Saturday.

yar my biggest guide was the small amount of minutes his big guys played in the first final. Usually with lower minutes, ratings get inflated - if they are the inflated ratings, then he could be in trouble.

I think Sid knows this though, and being the smart little manager that he is, will do something about it.

Looking forward to the games guys - may the better manager win. ( i dont say the best, because we all know who the best manager is around here. .... thats right.... Latino).

BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA H.

ahhhhhh i kill me.
