That was my PG! I had a bid on him but then had to go and do things, when I came back you had him! Funny we were both bidding on the same guy. I also had a lot more money so if I had been around I could have gone much higher. Second guy I missed out on today because I couldn't be at the close of the auction.

The other thing for Donny is though that he will have to be aware of the "salary cap". When he drops down his income will be decimated and most teams aren't making that much money. Ok teams like you and Rangas are making crazy amounts and I am doing ok but look at the average.

Funnily enough, i only placed 1 bid and won... the price of guards is DEFINITELY on the way down after being sky high all season.. The fact you bidded on him, tells me i signed a good PG :D Had you been around to bid, i can guarantee you would have got him lol. He has his weaknesses for sure, but DAMN he adds alot to this team right where i needed it.

116k is pretty good.. i was makin around the 100k per week mark but drop down to 77k.. hopefully with this guy on board we can win a few games and get some fans into the arena and get back the difference :D

The plan was always to wait till nearly end of season and assess b4 spending any money.. I cant fill my stadium now, so didn't see need to invest there.

yeah have a look at some teams stadiums, they are still tiny, and until they fix that they are doomed.. some of those guys need to do what i did, sell there $$ players, invest in arena and re-boot... it has paid off handsomely for me in 1 season :D

Agree, that was exactly what I did last season. Mid-season I looked at the Dons, said I can't beat them, sold all my non-core players and built my stadium and saved.

By the way I got a very similar player. Better JS, JR and OD but worse PA, HA and DR so really quite close. But I really like his defence, will give me someone who can actually match up with the dominant guards for the Beasts and Rangas. I previously was stuck around sensational OD so this feels much better.

38k a week here, so not as much money as I would like but still a profit none the less. I am not scared of any guys in this league....when I am at home!! On the road it becomes a different ball game, I mean come on HCA is the death of all of us.

Nice buy guys, certainly making your small guys stronger but lets hope my training regiment can keep Neil, Jacek and Kerry above the pack..

Worst case scenario is bainsy somehow gets first. If that happens MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON US ALL

i am sure neil is better than the guy i just bought, but what i just bought helps us out in multiple ways... Also, with only 10 players i was a man or 2 down in rotation, so this eases that burden.

to me the top 3 is sorted.. bainsy got off to a horrible start to the campaign dropping games he should have won, and despite valiant attempts, he has never recovered..

i am still training my bigs, atoy is starting to make a solid contribution and the other 2 are coming along nicely..

funny tho hippos, we both get to try our new guys out against each other lolz :D

glad ur happy with ur guy, but scoring wasnt what i wanted from this kid, scoring is what chan is for...

haha no chance in hell neeber. i still make 70k so i dont know who is dragging us down if i have the most expensive roster and near the average.

You boys are right, I will have to watch my salary cap when/if I drop down. I'm feeling pretty good now though after wiping the floor with one of the competitors for relegation. He's now the sure team to relegate, and I'm still sitting on 6th 2 games in front of 7th.

The big game will be in two weeks when I play 7th, a team that has been weak all season, and is only now showing the signs of strength he really should have been.

I feel confident now I have the tools to challenge any team I face in relegation finals.

I am worried that if I drop down, I will have to sell someone.

Thankfully I spent 1million on my stadium this season, and I will be lowering prices to fill this bad boy when/if I demote.

I will try and make it back in one season no doubt scrimping cash the entire way.

And BTW playing in div II hasn't made me smarter, I am perhaps more aware of teh level of competition though. I had it pretty easy in div III, always making finals, and always feeling like I was the team that SHOULD promote (curse those dodgy div II drop-downs), now however I realise that I will have to do a lot more to ensure I can compete regularly with div II teams, and plan really long term to get higher.

Serious, teams in div II wipe the floor with me...it has given me a whole new perspective!

Don't think he was getting at you Bains.. I am one, I had to reduce my staff from all lvl 5s to get myself some profit really, most this season I have been earning less than 50k a week, been killing me as I want to build on the stadium but I knew I had/have to keep money in the bank as I want, hell I plan on promoting this season. Figure I will smash my stadium as donny did when landing in div II.. Worst case, I don't get through and have to change tactics next season, but I think if I can maintain HCA I can get past any competitor, on the other hand if I don't PD and wins I could have some issues. I do appreciate the confidence from dons and hippos but I don't believe that I have a clear advantage, the beasts are a great match up for my team and are most likely to be the front runner from the blue side, though do the hippos still have some tricks to play??
