I have had my PG and SF out for the first part of the season. I don't think I am the easy beat you were expecting. I don't have much depth as I am keeping my finances to a minimum. There are no easy beats in the Big 8. I wouldn't take any of us in the Big easy.

Hadders is an extremely capable manager who has my upmost respect.

I suspect that he could win this league if he tried, whilst having 70K less in playing salaries than the top spender.

Personally I think he will stay another season and let his trainees mature

I still dont really have a plan as yet and suspect that I will sit the season out in Div 2.

Who knows I might willingly slip down to div 3 the season after.

Havent drawn anyone of note so far in the cup and if Im lucky enough to slip through this week and next then I might have a real dash at trying to win it, even if this means blowing a couple of mill

Hadders and Avalon Jets would both have bank balances IMO of excess of 5 mill.

I suppose if it come down to Hadders and me in the grandfinal I would feel like I was cheating if id spent up because I dont think I have an unfair advantage over him as I would most others

Coalcliff Clippers look like they might be going bot

Im about to go Overseas for 5 weeks, who knows I might go bot whilst Im away

As for you VIOS, you would be crazy to try to stay up now as I belive you are too far behind on the ladder.

I'm calling bullshit here. :p

Why all the smoke and mirrors? Relegating, going bot, going for the cup, playing off in the grand final... you really are an International Man of Mystery, aren't ya?

Well I hope SGS selling everyone means I have a guaranteed victory this week.
Really need to make up for looking to MMM. :(

i would assume so. realistically i could have easily won another 2 or 3 games in the next two weeks if i had kept my players. however i was losing money and gaining nothing, but making a soon to be Swedish NT player

did just notice my training got fked up by my swedish bloke getting a 4th min injury vs razorbacks. I was just about to head back to 1 pos training. looks like it would have to wait another week.

also he got 2 driving pops in 2 weeks :P what a boss!

Well I reckon youd be wrong then

Seriously I dont know what my intentions are

Have spent 1.2 mill or so each on 2 trainees but ofcourse love to get one that I drafted to train.

Iwen spent a season in div 2 before tanking down to div 3 and taking a draftee with him.

My trainees are ages 18 and 19 and there is no way I could one position train them in the ABBL for another couple of seasons and still expect to stay up there.

Cup will be over very quickly as they play 2 rounds during the AllStars week, so it wouldnt be a huge disruption to my trainees training if I really had a bash at it.

Given that I already have a reasonably expensive roster for div 2, it should be fairly obvious that Im trying to be competitive.

A lot will be decided for me when I finally get my third Aussie Trainee.

Ive invested way too much into training my trainees to stop and this will mean being a team that would not be competitive at an ABBL level for 2 or so seasons.

Why would it be bulls..t to think that I wouldnt allow myself to drop down to div 3 and follow the path of other ex ABBlers such as Iwen, Zazz and Avalon Jets ?

But hell why am I saying all this, just listen to VIOS, I truly am evil, you should sell up your rosters now so that the season isnt a complete waste for you all

Because I think if you were truly planning to demote to III you'd be tanking this season to save as much money as possible, while still training your trainees. I know you have a fair bit of cash in the bank, but I don't see you continuing to run with a 'reasonably expensive' roster just for the sake of it. I think if you were really planning to go down, you'd bank the cash this season.

I don't mind if you stay, go up or go down. It's cool having different people come through here, I'm just not believing that you truly plan on demoting. (At least not that season.)

Didnt say that I was planning to demote to div 3, I think from memory I said that I still dont know what my intentions are.

That said going down to div 3 could be still an option for next season, all be it an unlikely one.

Perhaps I might want to bank up some drafting points before having another bash at the draft?

Promoting this season isnt out of the question yet either.

I rank my roster as comparible or better than any ones current team in our league.

(except for the fact Im one position training 3 trainees which drags it down a bit)

Team stats I believe support my opinion

If I happenned to buy a 22 or 23 year old MVP that would fit into my training regime then this would certainly increase the chances that I might make a push.

That said if I brought a 22 or 23 year old Allstar to train, then this would possibly mean nothing as I might just want to train someone for a season to add depth to my one day, all Aussie roster.

Dont try and read too much into things as I seriously dont know what my plans are, and at present all Im doing is keeping my options open
