The NT coach is a figurehead and the biggest job is delegation and building the community. Jason is the better person for that job. I've interacted with him before and he has always been super helpful and VERY responsive.
Community: I built an entire New Zealand NT (and club-level, really) community from practically nothing when I was their NT. There was no offsite, no forum talk, no training help, nothing. The improvement they made in the 6 seasons I was there was incredible.
Delegation: I recently organized my federation's (BuzzerBeater's Best) Private Leagues division structure (8 PLs, 112 teams). No one was stepping up and time was running out, so I figured out who relegated/promoted within our PL structure, who wanted to join, where to fill the gaps, etc. From there I talked to players from the individual leagues to get their particular PLs organized. And it was completely successful.
Also, I work for a major defense contractor and work on an important US Air Force simulation tool and manage a decent budget as well as 5 programmers/modelers.
Just thought I'd give my side of the story.
