Patient is a great tactic when you are the superior team.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Can you elaborate?

And do you think the converse is true? Why?

Then again princeton, for example, is a great way to slow it down in hopes of avoiding injuries.

Is this an assumption or is there any evidence that pace is correlated with the risk of injury?

I think that if you have a distinct advantage on offense, patient will find the highest percentage shot, helping you score a lot of points. Likewise as you are running more time off the clock your opponent won't have as many opportunities to score.

(26716922) (26716882)

Here are two examples of my team being superior to my opponent and running up huge wins.
No, I don't think patient is as good a tactic against a superior opponent, although the game manual suggests as much.

We have a team in our league.. It has done a fantastic season playing Patient half of the games.
(31281966)
(31282034)
(31282042) - this game is especially interesting. Our champion very rarely looses at home..

I can add that BC Pisatel has only one player with the salary over 100k. And almost all players are multiskilled, there is even a player with the surname Multyk: (12107804) :D

Following the games of this team I can say that Patien simply destroys 2-3 but could be stopped by 3-2 zone. Example: (32355317)

Full Court Press is another tactic that I will only use in a situation where my team is a lot better. The Patient/FCP can be a devastating strategy if you are the better team- you can really pump up your +/- using those tactics against the right opponent.

A great example of Patient paying off, away against a better team. 50 FGA by my PF (but really my G) and a lot of them were assisted coming off screens.
Is 50 FGA too much? Not sure. It feels a bit that way, but as long as there is good ball movement (and Patient is not a stagnant offense), I'm happy.

Edit: oops sorry -> (33041492)
